Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Kilgrave is the worst, followed by Fisk and Bullseye.
Ego, Thanos, Hela, Winter Soldier and Zola...I dunno, the coolness factor they have takes a bit from the scariness a bit, hell, being intimidating enhances the coolness.
Kilgrave’s the scariest for me. The film villains don’t tend to be scary - the interesting ones are interesting either because of their relationship with the hero, or because of being sympathetic on some level, or being clever - not because of being terrifying.
Terrifying villains tend to be a horror movie thing, because in horror movies the protagonists are relatively helpless. That’s not the case in superhero movies, even with Thanos.
But Kilgrave does bring that sense of terrifying helplessness.

Nope. World premiere is today. I wasn't crazy enough to buy a ticket for a showing this evening, but tomorrow around this time I'll be watching Endgame!
Don't worry, I won't spoil it for anyone. And let's hope that this time no pseudo-journalist sh... head feels the need to list the biggest spoiler for the convenience of the trolls out there.

Endgame's premiere didn't feature a post-credits scene.
If there's a stinger (because of course there'll be one), it's probably gonna be huge...
(Dark Avengers? Norman Osborn? Namor? It probably won't be anything F4 or Mutant-related because it would be logistically impossible, so...)

Personally, I would like a Creative Closing Credits, which shows us the lives of the survivors.
For example, a scene of the Asgardians getting used to their new life on earth.

To be honest, to me one of the scariest villains is actually Zemo (who I feel is kinda underrated overall because hes not visually impressive).
But what makes him stand out to me is that in a universe of superpowered fighters he is basically just a normal person without a huge organization backing him, or any outstanding qualities and he still manages to nearly destroy the avengers.
And whats more he is not a megalomaniac or anything like that. He never goes the overstated, gloating route. Mostly he is just businesslike and determined.
Basically a Determinator Badass Normal villain.
Social media reactions say that Endgame exceeds expectations
(the review embargo will be lifted this afternoon).

Yeah, the best thing about pierce is that even though he was the most likely suspect from the get go, I even started to doubt that he is it and was considering the possible that he is a red herring because he sounds so reasonable.
