Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

It's more than two. He turns up three times in the movie.
yeah, about the Anti-SJW, I remember a video where the guy from Geeks and Gamers basically said people who went to see Captain Marvel weren't "true" fans, but SJW who just supported whatever fit their cause without caring about it. Which I find hilarious considering how that's exactly the Anti-SJW's modus operanti.
So yeah, I agree these guys don't deserve to be included in the fanbase.
I agree. Both about the anti-SJW crowd and about Coulson. F*ck those guys, and also I would say that Coulson qualifies as a minor character, not a cameo. He only shows up here and there rather than being one of the main cast, but he contributes something to the story every time he's onscreen.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Ronan the Accuser is closer to a cameo, as Coulson does fulfill a fairly important role in the story (namely letting Fury go).

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Something that bothers me a little, is that after becoming super-saiyan, the power of Carol is somewhat inconsistent.
At one point she has problems to beat the Kree soldiers and the next is able to destroy entire ships with great ease.
Although taking into account, that the Captain America (A guy that at most is at the level of Spiderman) was able to give Thanos fight, this example is not so notorious.

It is still surreal to see Nebula be treated on the same level as the core Avengers.
Not that I'm complaining, of course.

This song needs more love. The only one who can unvouch for her character is Rocket though.
Tony only knows that she helped fight Thanos.
None of the Earth people know that she's a wanted criminal or that she was helping Ronan do his Ronan-y stuff.
I mean, Carol might.
But as far as everyone else is concerned she's just that abrasive weirdo that Tony brought back from space that Rocket knows.
And Rocket is abrasive too so probably just all space people are like that.

If Loki had joined the avengers, the relationship would probably be much more tense. Being that most remember him as a villain.
The only ones who would give the same would be Rocket, Nebula and Carol.
If Bucky were in the group, the situation would be tense with Tony and Natasha, but the others would probably don't care.
