Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Flipside, Thanos cuts off Nebula's hand, again. Then...
- Thanos: "Join me, and we'll save the universe as father and daughter!
- Nebula: "NOOOOOOOOOOO! No."
Endgame should be a 3 hour movie of everyone not dusted sitting on a desk trying to convince Ant-man that him going into Thanos Thanus is the only way to defeat him. Just that.
The rest is Dora the Explorer movie with the twist that is was Luis narrating the movoe to Thanos as distraction while Scott does his thing.
Just wrapped up Phase One again. Some questions:
1. Iron Man 2's denouement had SHIELD mark out the Valkyrie crash site in Greenland and Wakanda as foreshadowing. Also marked out, US locations aside, is something in the South Atlantic. Has it been revealed what's in the South Atlantic to have SHIELD interested?
2. Who's the actor who portrayed the American World Security Council member in The Avengers (2012), given that he was replaced by Robert Redford for Captain America: The Winter Soldier?

I read a hot take on Tumblr that I kind of like. It went like this:
"The 'Ant-Man kills Thanos by going up his ass and expanding' meme is just a excuse for people to think about Thanos's ass without revealing that they think Thanos is hot."
Therefore, people who use that meme are just cowards who don't want to openly admit that they find Thanos hot, like the rest of us do.
Avengers: Endgame had one of the best test screening responses ever.
...is anyone else still not ready for Endgame or is it just me?
I'll feel ready up until the movie ends, then I'll breakdown crying and notice I wasn't ready after all.
I also heard Galactus shows up at the end and mistakes Thanos for a grape, eating him.
Edit: Okay, so that's two persons in the world who like Krull, me and Joe Russo. Anyone else?

Fools, Ant-Man wears an oxygen mask specifically so he can’t be farted to death
Forever liveblogging the Avengers

Ooh, Nebula cutting off the arm with the gauntlet on it in order to remove the gauntlet would be so cool.
