Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

No wonder she's into both Deadpool and Thanos.
Also, regarding the video on the last page, I did not realize Thanos was that much of a player. Shouldn't surprise me too much that comic artists have lovingly rendered him in all his purple beefcake glory considering how much half-joking thirst I've seen of him but I still prefer Thor's siblings for the Draco in Leather Pants treatment.
You are not alone. It only begs the most important question? Which villain would you sleep with?
Would you be willing to lay with Thanos' overwhelming purple THICCNESS, Ultron's cool metal body & reverberating voice that can give Garrus Vakarian a run for his money, Hela's svelte curves whilst wearing a deer antler helmet, or Loki's Tom Hiddleston impression?

Hela and Killmonger.
Oh, and Mariah from Luke Cage.
I don't actually care all that much about Loki, even if I understand the Pretty Boy appeal.
Ava Starr, though "villain" in this case would be a bit of a stretch. Though perhaps that may lend credence to my choice since outside of how reckless she is sometimes in pursuit of saving herself, she's obviously much nicer than any other MCU antagonist.
Self-serious autistic trans gal who loves rock/metal and animation with all her heart. (she/her)Oh yeah, I had forgotten about Ghost, I'll add her to my list as well.
I'd say plenty of people already care about Ant-Man, particularly after his showing in Civil War and his much better second film.

Her big problem in Infinity Gauntlet was that he had become stronger than her
It’s actually quite silly if taken only from the perspective of Thanos’ love life
Before he got the Infinity Gauntlet, he was a servant and Death does not tarry with hired help
So he got the Infinity Gauntlet under the guise that it would help with her ‘kill half of things’ goal and showed up at the end and her mouthpiece said ‘ooo so sorry she says now she’s not worthy of you’
After an entire mini of scheming and outwitting the dumb Elders of the Universe Thanos gets told that his princess is in another castle
It’s why he spends the entire Gauntlet story trying to woo her in various ways and why she wasn’t into it
Jim Starlin did write them getting together in one of his various Thanos books though

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI will admit that I've had a crush for Hiddleston as Loki since I was a teenager back in 2011. I can't help it, it's the accent and his pretty boy eyes. I really swooned around Dark World when he got the long pretty boy hair
I'm secure enough to admit I can see what people like about Chris Hemsworth - dude's jacked, has a thick voice, plays a Norse god, a'ight.
I'm insecure enough to say I think Hiddleston's highly overrated in terms of looks and acting, and that clearly the girl I had a crush on in my freshman year of high school who was unequivocally in love with Hiddleston and refused to pay any attention to me must have been going through some kind of teenage girl phase.
I mean the guy plays a guy who is constantly back-stabbing people. I just don't understand why this man is such a magnet.
Disclaimer: not bitter.

The sad eyes go a long way. Then there was that scene in Dark World where he's a total wreck after Frigga dies. I'm a sucker for crying villains.
Also, are we counting Ava as a villain? I find Hannah John-Kamen irresistibly cute.
