Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I think they have two reasons for the concept…
For one, to have a reason why Fury seeks out Peter and not one of the other Avengers who are right there in their Facility on Upstate New York.
And two, it allows them to play with exciting locations. Honestly, when they are done, there will be most likely no famous building in Europe left standing….

But if they did, I think it would be a great idea to cast J.K. Simmons alongside him as J Jonah Jameson.
Maybe that Willem DaWalken-Buscemi fellow could play Green Goblin?

I don't like it either, but it happened and Rob refuses to let anyone pretend otherwise.
Because I kinda liked his version of the costume, even if it got snubbed by Spider-Man (PS4)

One Strip! One Strip! To be frank, I actually dislike him in general. I have never seen him in a role in which I actually liked him.
Which reminds me that we really need to give Marvel's casting department more credit. They do such a great job! Now, if they now also cast Matt Bomer for the eternals… (I mean, comeon, an openly gay actor who looks like a superhero. I can't imagine them finding a better candidate).
As pointed out, it’s an important part of Spider mythos that Peter ends up outside of New York pretty frequently but no one ever connects Peter Parker going to a place and then Spider-Man showing up
He first met the Lizard in the Everglades, somehow he showed up in Mexico just in time to save the Avengers from a Spider-Man robot, and went to the Savage Land with Jameson and Gwen Stacy
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOh man. Spider-Man's arch-enemy should totally be Tony Spiderman.
Personally, I want Vincent Rodriguez III to be a part of the MCU.

...Tony Spiderman is angry because all of Jameson's angry Spider-Man rants keep bouncing back onto him.
He can't get hired for a job because people don't want to hire someone associated with that name.
He naturally seeks revenge against both of them
One Strip! One Strip!I'm curious how the inevitable casting for the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters will go.
Especially Wolverine and Doom.
This song needs more love. They might get someone actually small for Logan I'd imagine.
Though I still think Jackman kinda owned the role, he was way too big.
One Strip! One Strip!Danny Devito Wolverine or riot
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyIf Mads Mikkelsen hadn't already been in the MCU, I would have totally wanted to see him as Doom.
Richard Armitage also makes a good Logan in Wolverine: The Long Night podcast. He's also been in the MCU, but only in a bit part, so they probably cast him again.

You're right, we didn't have three Spider-Man movies in the early 2000s. There was just some test footage of JK Simmons yelling about Spider-Man being a menace. Too bad it didn't work out.
Look, if they're going to cast Wolverine again, I want comics accuracy. Give me a short, angry, Canadian man or nothing.

I mean a decent portion of Homecoming took place in Washington D.C.
This song needs more love.
