Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I mean would that work? Like, biologically?

This song needs more love.Wait, thinking it over, it wouldn't work because the MCU stories roughly follow Real Time so that means if they were born in 2020 they wouldn't be usable as teen heroes until the 2030s.

I somehow doubt that Disney is quite ready to go all gay just yet...the f... Chinese and Russian Market will make them think twice.
Btw. Weekend Box office is in and Captain Marvel managed to drop less than 55%. It has now made $760 Million worldwide and is about to move past Got G, which would put it in the top ten of the highest grossing Marvel movies. I guess it is way on track to hit a billion...either that or it become the first Marvel movie in the 900 million margin (honestly, what is it with the huge gab there? It is like Superhero movies are afraid to land in this margin).
To get back to the James Gunn thing for a moment, something odd I've noticed:
Does it seem weird to anyone that no one in the Marvel / Guardians cast has publicly commented on Gunn's reinstatement?
There's Gunn's statement itself, his brother's message about it, Karen Gillan posted "We are Groot" on Twitter, and Pom Klementieff and Michael Rooker made vague noises about it on Instagram, but other than that, dead silence
You'd think they'd be dancing in the streets about it
The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.I don't care either way about the Young Avengers, so no opinions there.
I would, however, really like if Juggernaut was used in a disaster movie involving the X-Men. Fits the character perfectly, don't you think?
Maybe they're just trying to be graceful about it?

I just looked at the Young Avengers character pages & I noticed some of their current costumes are relatively simpler in design than their original outfits.
For example Kate’s first outfit there had a scarf, v-tails, & her shooting arm looks more armored or segmented.
Now she just wears a simple purple jumpsuit with her shooting arm covered by simple cloth.
That’s more what I mean.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm all the way here for a Young Avengers movie. For one, the idea of stories about people who have now grown up or are growing up inside of the universe the rest of the characters have created is awesome. Using the characters we already have, like Stature / Stinger (Cassie Lang), could fit in if they so choose like Amadeus Cho or even Kid Loki, or ones we almost certainly will be getting eventually like Kamala Khan.
It'd also be interesting if a Young Avengers movie was in part a composite with Avengers Academy. That was such an interesting idea, and the characters inside were - at least in theory - pretty interesting.
Not Spidey, though. Because I want him to be part of a New Avengers (Spider-Man, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Wolverine) adaptation a few years down the line.

I add my own desire for the Black Widow movie being a Bond Style spy movie with a LOT of fun inserted into it.
... Okay I know I already said plenty of times I thought a Black Widow movie would be pointless in my opinion, but if it turns out to be that, I could actually get behind it.
