Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

The weekend of 3/15/19-3/17/19, just so we don't have any confusion.
"I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right...yet to fail nonetheless. It's frightening, turns the legs to jelly. But I ask you, to what end? Dread it...Run from it....Destiny arrives all the same. And now, it's here. Or should I say...I am."

Of course, what Thanos is saying is basically the same as this: "All right, you win. You win. I give. I'll say it. I'll say it. I'll say it. DESTINY! DESTINY! NO ESCAPING THAT FOR ME! DESTINY! DESTINY! NO ESCAPING THAT FOR ME!"

For what it's there's also Steve is Cap but never gets trapped in the ice.
I guess what if Abomination joined the Avengers (it's established somewhere that some higher-ups wanted him instead of Hulk), possibly stretched out to a more fully-fleged Dark Avengers?
I kind of feel like I'm less hyped for Endgame than I was for Infinity War
Re: What if the government had gotten Tony's Iron Man technology in Iron Man 2?
Weren't those people in the government, people from Hydra in disguise? If so, that would have been very bad.
My "What If?" would be what if Coulson actually had been a Hydra agent as originally planned?
Like creepy stories? Check out my book! That's a very interesting thought. The second one especially would have mitigated a lot of the issues of Cap's actions in Civil War (as he would have been an official agent of the government and could have had official authority to take Bucky in).
It would have avoided the Airport fight too I think, so the team might have been together when Zemo did his reveal.
The first one would have been harder, because they'd have no ability to move freely at all.
One Strip! One Strip! What if Hawkeye just decided to not show up for work in Avengers 1 and missed the boat on the whole thing?
This song needs more love. What if Pepper had taken the armor and reined in Tony (and subsequently joined him against Whiplash) in IM 2, rather than Rhodey?
What if Cap had been able to land the HYDRA bomber safely?
What if Cap had found Bucky right away?
he airport fight wouldn’t have happened, and there would be several people around to restrain Tony when Zeno shows him the video. T’challa’s character development would be the biggest variable.
Zemo’s plot is entirely divorced from the Accords - they merely provide a convenient opportunity to put it in motion.
Edit:
’d by people who said it better than me

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyFor the first one, it would have prevented Zemo from using him as a scapegoat for the bombing and left him with less resources with which to find the information, but since Shield was technically defunct at that time (though only officially) that one's off the table.
With number two, he'd have gotten to his plan much more easily since there would have been no need to frame Bucky (then again, maybe he still would have done it to lure the latter out).
If Cap had told Tony, Tony would have been rightfully pissed, but likely wouldn't have flown into a rage like he did because he'd have had time to deal with it rather than having it thrown in his face in the heat of the moment like what happened. He'd be very on board for catching Bucky though.
One Strip! One Strip!

i feel like Endgame is being released too soon,I'm not ready!
