Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Honestly, the only important part for me is that the one who experienced their loved ones turn to dust will remember later on...at least on the Avengers side.
But frankly, its about the journey for me, not the outcome. Just having Rocket and Ironman interact with each other would be worth the price of admission. And naturally I expect Steve and Tony finally having an overdue talk.
I honestly don't think it's fair to bring back only some of the dusted characters and keep some of them dead. It'd just seem like trying to go in two directions at the same time, but not committing to either.
Unless the suggestion is to bring some characters back from the Snappening and then kill some of them afterwards. Which seems like a dick move to be honest.

You don't need to spoiler that.
I'd only be happy about him coming back if the entire universe knows what he did and he either spends the rest of his life suffering, or is executed for it.
One Strip! One Strip!Like Supergiant could be used as a Secondary Antagonist or basically the Heavy since Thanos will most likely play a passive role for the most of the film.
The quest will involve finding him & Supergiant will stand against the Avengers as the final Child of Thanos.
Revenge of the 6.

You need to read my posts. I'm pretty much biased to an unfair degree against Quill, so this is par of the course for me.
Until he redeems himself (purely in my eyes) he's on the shit list.
Edit:
If that's the case, I'll go easy on him, but until we hear it said on screen, I'm gonna keep ripping on him.

One Strip! One Strip!Oh, no, it's not because I hate Star-Lord. I'm on Peter's side.
I just found out that Chris Pratt is garbage, is all.
My various fanfics.
Eh, I won't do that. I admit part of it is genuine anger, even though I know Peter's actions were part of a larger plan, and I can understand why he did it.
Hell, I admit that him being willing to shoot Gamora when she asked was pretty awesome (even if also horrible) because when push came to shove, he manned up and put what was best for everyone ahead of himself...
...which may be why I'm so pissed at him for his actions on Virmire, despite understanding them.
One Strip! One Strip!Well that's my point. The movie explicitly endorses his emotional outburst and shows that victory sometimes has to follow defeat.
In the end, the galaxy (all of creation) will not be won just because our heroes were smart and strong, but because they were human. Right down to being flawed.
Otherwise, Strange could have stopped Quill easily. He wasn't necessary to restrain Thanos at that moment anyhow.
EDIT-Virmire? Are you trying to make a comparison, or did you mean Titan?

Just re-watched Ant-Man and the Wasp. Yeah, that was a great time. Funnier than I remembered too. Also I forgot how much I liked Ava Starr. She's so adorable and pitiable, I want to give her a hug and pinch her cheeks. Cassie is also precious and adorable, I loved her scenes with Scott. After Thanos it's so refreshing to see a genuinely sweet and loving father-daughter relationship. Speaking of sweet, I did honest to god feel some things when Janet re-united with Hank and Hope and healed Ava up. I'm liking this mild trend of heroes saving or at least offering to save the main antagonists. I loved it in Homecoming, and I love it here. I really hope Ava didn't get disintegrated off-screen. Fuck you, Thanos. You're the reason why I didn't re-watch the mid-credits scene.

No one expected those characters to stay dead. No one.
The real mystery are the ones who survived.
