Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I remember when blokes kept insisting “Gal Gadot seems so wooden, the trailers don’t show enough, this movie is doomed” and then the movie premiered and she was great and singlehandedly revived her whole franchise and became bigger than Superman and Batman.

The latest in a line of dumb memes that you see in one place and immediately think "this must be a meme by now" and then you go somewhere else and voila, an article exists that points out the meme's existence.
I had no aspirations to watch Infinity War when the ball dropped but I'm amused that others did.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
Even that have being water down to "any atempt to troll people in internet", really a this point people think if you answer any troll post it means you "trigger someone".
And with force SJW or whatever, most of the time is this perception nerd culture is this uber artistict endevor were everything happen just because or because the artist just wanted from is heart and that Pandering is something companies do to other people.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"For some reason I got to wondering if Nick Fury knew about Wakanda.
The answer is yes, according to Jackson.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Had the weirdest idea for Wolverine appearing in the MCU
Peter goes to school, new Gym teacher named Mr.Logan, everyone expects him show off his claws because it's Hugh Jackman.
"You look like-"
"Before you say it I'm not an Xman but I played one on TV..."
Hows that for a stinger?
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI imagine plenty of people had suspicions about Wakanda. The very practice of extreme isolationism would attract attention. Add in some reports of Wakandan aircraft near the boarder and Black Panther occasionally acting outside of Wakanda's boarders and someone like Fury could probably pieced things together to an extent.
I doubt anyone figured out that Wakanda didn't just have a secret Vibranium source, they had a whole mountain of the stuff. They aren't just hiding their settlements outside the boarder villages, they are hiding a whole city. They don't just have some vibranium tools, they mastered the stuff to the point where they are more technologically advanced than any nation.
sure they both empty your pockets after their done
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverOh no. No.
Time Travel?
I hate these kind of stories. Introducing this into the MCU? Oh please no.
I was kind of hoping that the fact that they haven't introduced Kang into the MCU so far meant they wouldn't pull this shit.
The Time Stone was bad enough. And that was only time manipulation, not outright time travel so far!

Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm going to reserve judgement until the film(s) give clarification on what exactly that statement means.

I will never ever agree with complaints of "forced" or "pandering" when it comes to inclusion. It's like just because a story wants to have a same-sex relationship or a female lead, suddenly it's "too political" like there's magically a new set of rules that must be followed that didn't exist before.
