Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Well of course, but I'm thinking after that.
I think we are looking at a timeskip anywhere from 6 months to a couple years. Enough time for Hawkeye to go down what looks like a dark path and for Cap to be in total disbelief when Scott Lang finally shows up (instead of "oh, I guess he's still alive").
Thanos killed Sharon Carter?!
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I actually wonder if they'll do something with Rocket learning about actual raccoons and having some sort of identity crisis. A recurring trait with Rocket is that he hates being treated as an inferior being or a dumb animal. So, coming across an entire species that looks exactly like him, but spends most of its life eating garbage for a living... I feel that would give him some serious issues. Combined with losing all of his friends in a single moment, I don't think Rocket would handle that very well.
That certainly seems on-brand.
Alternatively, they just haven't bothered to finish any of the CGI for Rocket yet. As much as I love creepy, blocky, half-rendered 3D models, I don't think they'd go over well in the trailer. That probably isn't it, because they have oodles of money to work with, but it lets me take potshots at CGI.
Ant Man was in EVERY CLIP! Did you see him?
(sorry, couldn't resist.)
It amuses me that Thor is still stuck with that hair cut. I think it's because a Stan Lee cameo had some kind of effect over multiple films, is why I find it so amusing.
So when do we start making jokes about Hawkeye's scenes getting cut from the final film?
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!If anything I'm glad they're letting Scott shine so much as of late. From the way he appeared it does seem as if Hawkeye's family got snopped, that or they were murdered at a later point in the ensuing chaos and he wants revenge on the people responsible. Either way, a bit too fridge-y for my taste.

I really like Scott as well. I think the gag is he's a character a lot of people overlooked but now are rethinking because it looks like he has a pivotal role here.
The amount of people I saw today saying some variant of "Shit, I need to go watch Ant-Man and the Wasp!" was massive.

I assume he's going to go to the nearest bar and get really drunk.
