Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I think Nebula and Tony are both on the ship, but since Nebula doesn't need food or water (being, like, 80% cyborg), she's probably not as worried as Tony. Then again, she does need air.
The teaser was...well, a teaser. Also, the title turned out to be the one everyone guessed, which I guess is good, although I still like the symmetry of calling it The Last Avengers (since it started with Captain America: The First Avenger), although I guess they didn't want to call it that because then people would be like "So is this actually the last Avengers movie?" and they would have to explain that it wasn't.
In any case, Clint as Ronin looks cool. I'm pretty sure that, at the end of the movie, when he finally gets his family back, he's going to retire and pass the Hawkeye mantle on to Kate Bishop.

Well, the trailer didn't show much, but then again it didn't really have to. It's clear they're keeping a lot secret for when the film's released. I wouldn't be surprised if every scene in the trailer is from the first twenty minutes or so. And considering the rumors that the film is going to be three hours long, that's a pretty small chunk of the movie.
I'm wondering what Clint's been up to, since the last film suggested he made a plea bargain after Cap broke everyone out of the Raft. Also, I couldn't tell if the Infinity Gauntlet was repaired or not, as it was cast in shadow.
...
Alright. Now we can all stop going crazy over it.
As for Scott...he got out by growing big before right? Maybe he just did that again.
One Strip! One Strip!
Feel like that could go either way. They could be alive and just MIA, but it's also possible that Angela thought they were alive, or she was giving out fake info, like the Russo's have done with certain things (Like the title
.)

Of course, Scott's house arrest ended shortly before the Snap, so presumably it was the same for Clint. And even if it didn't, with half the population dead people have better things to do than worry about what one cooperative criminal is doing.

Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Democratic governments can handle major loss of life in leaders better than autocratic ones can. I mean, Designated Survivor is all about "what would happen if the entire US government was killed?" and the answer is "dust themselves off and move on."
Obviously there's plenty of opportunity for horrible things to happen to the government, but I think they won't be much worse off than literally everyone else.
