Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Rumors, shmumors.
But why would they be so cagey about the title?
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"> But why would they be so cagey about the title?
So can they hype film further, fans speculation means the they're hyping for what the title could be which keeps them interested so when the film rolls around you have people clamouring for the film when the title is revealed
its the perfect bait, mystery is intriguing and people love a good mystery
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverThe title still isn't revealed at the premiere. Everyone who goes to see the film refuses to discuss the actual title of the film. You end up going to see it midnight on opening day. There are no opening credits, so you have to wait until the end of the film to see the title. It's an amazing film, full of action and humor and twists. Finally, the end arrives and the credits roll, but there still isn't any title. The credits end and then there's the post-credits scene. It's Howard the Duck, who has just told the story of the movie to a movie producer. The producer goes, "That's a hell of a film. What do you call it?" And Howard goes, "The Aristocrats!"
They haven't come up with a title.
Ever since they decided that it was not going to be called Avengers: Infinity War: Part 2, on every day that has passed since they've put off coming up with a new title until tomorrow. While on an academic level they are aware that they probably should of come up with a title by now, other things just sort of keep getting in the way.
This will continue through the release of the film, which on paper will officially be released as:
Avengers:<Insert Subtitle Here>
Thanos killed the Title Guy.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Wait, what? Really? I wonder why the merger made things difficult for New Warriors — even the characters that are mutants (like Mister Immortal) aren't associated with the X-Men, but rather the Great Lakes Avengers.
But...maybe they decided to hold off on things so that they wouldn't need to change the explanation? Maybe they are going to keep Mister Immortal as a mutant. Which would be hilarious, since in the comics, Squirrel Girl used to be a mutant and then was changed so that she was "medically and legally distinct from a mutant."
...Oh, wait, perhaps they want to air the show on Fox, but can't until the deal is done.
