Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Re-watching Infinity War and suddenly wondering how the Hulkbuster suit ended up on Wakanda.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!Wasn't it stored in a Stark satellite in Avengers: Age of Ultron? Maybe Rhodey had access to it in Tony's absence?
Regarding the Disney+ shows and such, I really hope Disney doesn't make the Netflix shows etc. definitely non-canon, and many fans of them would surely agree with me.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!A handy dandy infographic of MCU baddies, both major, minor and former, with some joking comments.

The Russos are always firing Mark Ruffalo.
He has George Jetson Job Security.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Ok let see that list
"Kasus: jared leto in blade runner" ok that is funny
"winter woldier: Capitan BFF, also ready to comply" Ok THAT is funny.
"N´jada: true start of the film" and wakanda best edgelord.
Because dont mind me, I love killmonger and everything...but damn he is and edgelord, in fact is the first edgelord I see that is black.
That is progress....I guess.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"This last leak with Ruffalo was almost certainly on purpose.
For reference, he said the name of the next Avengers movie on Jimmy Fallon, then very publically asked him - over social media! - to cut it out of the show (they bleeped it). To which the Russos jokingly fired him on Twitter. All very silly and fun.
What’s more, during the actual conversation they were talking about how much he leaks stuff.
So there is an official timeline now
https://geektyrant.com/news/marvel-has-released-the-official-timeline-of-the-mcu
And even though the infamous Homecoming error has been fixed, it still has at least one (with Iron Man 1 playing in 2010 instead of in 2008, this makes Vision's remark in Civil War faulty).
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianThey should have placed in 2009 because Ironman 2 is clearly placed in 2010. The year is plastered all over Ironman 2, and within the dialogue. Also, Infinity war can't be set in 2017 either, it's clearly set in 2018 (and if you consider Ao S, The Winter Soldier fits way better into autumn 2013, especially since that is the year you can see within the movie itself, too).
Whoever did the Timeline didn't put much thought into it.

It's natural a timeline would mess things up. Lore isn't communicated very well for everyone involved with big media franchises.
Now, as to what I'd say, it's clear to me now. I plan on re-watching every MCU film in chronological order before the Infinity War sequel though that means I have to rewatch First Avenger a day at least before I watch Captain Marvel.
