Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

What Pushover said. I don't expect them to do a bunch of alternate universe takes on the same characters, but I could see them using it as a way of gently hitting certain reset buttons, giving them an option to recast certain parts with younger actors along the lines of Days of Future Past — while still keeping the original cast in their back pocket in the MCU-Prime, as it were. I don't expect them to go into Secret Wars full time for multiple movies anymore than I expected Infinity War to be a years-long Star Wars-style saga, but I do think that it's a good card to have, used judiciously, and it's a big part of the comics in its own way that the Time Stone could be used to introduce.
Or not. It's not a lock or anything, but I think it's plausible and not a bad idea.
Also, I fully expect the MCU to reboot the entire X-Men universe when they finally use them.

Not in this continuity. Nina in the movies is basically Magneto's other daughter Anya, who died before the twins were born but had the same mother. She died in a fire in the comics, but it's otherwise similar to what happened in Apocalypse, except the wife and daughter Magneto had in Poland came after his affair with Quicksilver's mom, but (if The Gifted is basing its history on the movies' chain of events) presumably before he met Lorna "Polaris" Dane's mother Suzanna. Confused? Well, it's probably not worth thinking too hard about.

That Girl was his sister yes but she was his half-sister.
Whom he has absolutely no idea of because she was born long after him & Mags by the point has long settled down with the latters mother’s so he has no connection to her.
Though Quickie lives with another younger sister going by the shot of him at his home in Days during the climax.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I feel I should share this one here, too:

Looks like Agents of Shield is actually the most sought after Marvel show. (Well, it is certainly the best rated one - no kidding, look at the reviews, it does better than all the other Marvel shows).
Guess whoever at Disney keep insisting to keep the show on has been right.
This shouldn't be especially surprising, considering:
- It's the only MCU show with a set schedule (until season 6, that is) and could easily be watched on network TV.
- It was hyped when it first aired and viewers may still remember that.
- Word of mouth is also a powerful thing and I think a lot of people managed to get into it because of how season four was getting great reviews and word of mouth.
- It just has likable characters and interesting plots. A friend of mine said that he could not finish watching Jessica Jones Season 2 at all, but loves AOS.

Sure, but international, well, let's put if this way: Considering that unlike Netflix, Broadcast TV is still delayed between when it airs in the US and when it airs everywhere else, fans have to go through some length to stay up to date.
I think what makes Ao S is that is never got stale. How many shows can reach the 100 episode count without feeling as if the show is starting to get kind of tired? And in how many shows do character develop as much as in this one? If you compare Fitzsimmons from the Sciencebaby days to now, it is hard to beliefe that those are the same characters and yet every step on the way made perfectly sense.

Really? because I kinda find annoying how much both suffer in the course of the show, it seen a some disagree must happen to them every season to milk drama out of it.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"That's some interesting stuff. So both of the villains are middle aged, though the primary villain is younger. No gender or race specified for the primary villain (but is supposed to be "exciting," so they're probably The Heavy), but the secondary villain (explicitly "conniving," so probably the Big Bad / The Chessmaster) is explicitly a woman.
I like the article's guess that the "main" villain is Taskmaster. I'd also guess that the secondary villain is either Madame HYDRA, Monica Rappaccini or Lucia Von Bardas.
The secondary characters include a "female Bond," so I'm guessing Jessice Drew. They're also explicitly looking for an African, Middle Eastern or Indian actor for a role, though without character details I'm not sure who that could be.
Then a "bookish American" in his late 20's. If this were a prequel, I'd say a young Bruce Banner (lol), but I'm going to make a really left field guess and say it's Rick Jones. He's not known for being bookish in the comics, but this does strike me as a "sidekick" listing.
Cross posting from the Marvel Comicbook thread:
Did I tell you guys I actually met him at a convention? Even asked him a question. I phrased it badly so I didn't quite get the answer I wanted, but I'm still glad I got that chance.
The Marvel Universe is a smaller place now. That much is certain.
I think he was the last of the old school guys too. That's a massive shame I'd say.
One Strip! One Strip! Not to be morbid, but I wonder if Captain Marvel and/or Avengers 4 will see a Furious 7 effect.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.

I dont think they will used the multiuniverse at all.
I mean, the movie universe is always being smaller than comic universe, civil war(where they reduce the docent of chararter to.....eleven) is the proof of that.
