Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'm both happy and sad for the cancellation.
Sad because it means we won't get more of Typhoid Mary. Hopefully she'll find her way over to another series or maybe get a spinoff of her own.
Happy because it means the show ended before the inevitable story where Danny reclaims the Fist for himself. Now Colleen can keep it forever and pop up in other people's shows from time to time.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. They might shift the show to Disney's own streaming service. Iron Fist was a show that never really needed to be R-rated or "mature." It was always supposed to be a kung fu show.
If Disney does bring it back for their streaming service, they should just go all out and give us the Tournament of Heaven arc.

I'll say the same thing I said on the Iron Fist thread:
There's no guarantee that Danny would have to take back the fist from Colleen. After all, wasn't there an arc with multiple Iron Fists in the comics? Plus, Danny with those guns indicates that there's more than one way to use channel your chi.
That first season just murdered all the potential of the series.
One Strip! One Strip!I could certainly see them bringing it back on a different platform more than I could them shoving it into a closet and throwing away the key like they did with Inhumans.

This song needs more love.I don't know man.
Wasn't Iron Fist Season 1 as bad as Inhumans?
I mean, the only reason anyone has any regrets about it's cancellation is because Season 2 was actually worth watching, but that first part still stunk it up hard, and there have to be people who still judge the series entirely based on that.
One Strip! One Strip!Hell, I say that even Inhumans could be saved. I mean, not any of what happened in the actual show — god, it was terrible, did Karnak really get involved in pot smuggling? — but just the basic concept of an Inhumans TV show. Just say that the ABC Inhumans show was, I don't know, a TV show made by Maximus the Mad or something.
May, actually (sorry for correcting you).
I guess I'm just wondering if this is good news for the Guardians (Drax in particular). If they're done with reshoots now, maybe that means their storyline won't be altered significantly in the wake of the James Gunn firing and delay of Got G 3
Then again, Bautista said he had 2 days of reshoots to do, and we never got any word that he had done them yet so... I dunno

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.But I don't want Danny to show up elsewhere. I was hoping that the third season would properly explore the lore of the Iron Fist, maybe complete with a tournament. You can't fold a story like this in the background of another show. I mean, his New York activities, yes, those can be folded into Luke Cage, but there is so much more to the character I want to see.

Eh, I liked season 2 but I don't mind the show ending on the note it did.
