Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Did he know?
I mean, he never uses this fact to rub it in to T'chala's face at any point (and we all saw how gleeful Klaue was about messing with them).
Is it possible that N'jobu never revealed his exact identity? In other words, Klaue knows he has an source very high in the government, but isn't aware it's the Crown Prince Wakanda himself.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't think the differences between AOU and BP are much of a problem. Klaue is hard for Wakandans to find.
Wakandans who have no diplomatic ties, no extradition treaties, and shun all other nations. Wakanda has spies in a bunch of different countries, but 100% of those spies are racially Wakandan and it's a pretty major plot point that the world outside Africa isn't very kind to black people so YMMV on just how much power and influence those spies possess.
They have invisible dropships, but they don't have Interpol and the U.N. circulating Klaue's picture and details or extradition treaties with countries that would be willing to surrender him if apprehended.
They have holographic technology, but they do not participate in the World Wide Web. They don't have f*cking Soundcloud.
Ultron, the Avengers, and Killmonger are all able to track down Klaue without issue because they participate in the world that he lives and operates in. But Wakanda's strategy for finding him begins and ends with, "If one of our spies SEES him with their PHYSICAL EYES, we will dropship some kung-fu soldiers with spears to take him in. They'll be there within the hour, I guess? How fast do our ships fly?"

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I don't know if that's true. I don't really get the impression that their special forces would have any problem making use of the technology or communication systems of the outside world (hacking into them if necessary), just because they don't contribute to them. I know Shuri's on a whole other level, but they still had technology leaps and bounds above the rest of the world before she was even born.
Clearly Shuri knows a lot about the outside world, as does Nakia, firsthand. N'Jobu seemed like he'd integrated into 1990s Oakland pretty convincingly. I don't think learning out to get around the internet is all that hard — and they've still had spies out in the world since then.

I'm amazed that the film's less than a year away and we still don't have a title for it. I'm so going to laugh if they don't announce the title until the first trailer and then don't launch that trailer until, like, Captain Marvel's post-credits scene.
"Avengers: F*ck You, Give Us Your Money. Coming to theaters IN LESS THAN A MONTH HOLY SHIT."
I mean, it's not like the movie even needs a trailer to build hype at this point. Infinity War's ending will put all the asses in seats by itself. It's basically Emotional Blackmail: The Movie.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I’ll confess that I’m not sure what the reason for the secrecy is. Pretty much everyone knows how Infinity War ends at this point.
Oh God! Natural light! The spoiler in the title probably isn't about Infinity War. My guess is that it actually gives away something in Captain Marvel.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I mean, they said that “Avengers Forever” was the closest guess made so far, so I don’t know what from Captain Marvel would spoil something along those lines.
Oh God! Natural light!Avengers: A New Hope.
The title is literal. The plot of the movie is about Scott Lang escaping the Quantum Realm and making a Replacement Goldfish for Hope out of some of her clothes and a mannequin. The survivors of his family are very concerned for him.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Random silly theory: temporal shenanigans are happening, we’re pretty sure. So at one point they screw up and make a Time Crash, resulting in a young Hank and Jan showing up and fighting alongside the original movie Avengers.

This, except Natasha and Clint (and maybe Steve) aren’t there when it happens.

Oh God! Natural light!

Yeah, that's the big issue. He may not know that T'Chaka killed his own brother, but if he starts telling people that said brother committed treason and was helping him in the first place and actually has reasonable evidence to back that up, it's gonna cause....a stir, to say the
