Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Whenever there's one of these headlines of Kevin Feige speaking about diversity, my thought is always:
"The thing about Kevin Feige is that he lies a lot."
With the caveat that I don't believe him, my speculation/things I'd like to see are a lesbian couple in GOTG 3- I like the idea of Drax's daughter/Moondragon being revealed to be alive and being in a relationship with Phylla. Drax would initially disapprove because Phylla is Kree. Alternatively, I've wondered at the possibility of a Nebula/Valkyrie relationship.
Also, I really want Wiccan and Hulkling to appear, especially Hulkling. Not only would it be nice to get some Jewish representation, but I have an odd fondness for interesting uses of the Shapeshifter Default Form trope when coupled with playing with and subverting Always Chaotic Evil. (cf. Loki in the MCU as well as Miss Martian in Young Justice). So like initially it would seem that Hulkling was a son that Hulk sired on Sakaar, but then of course it would be revealed that he was a Skrull. But the whole time he would be a likable good guy.
Edit- One other thought is that they might do something like Ultimate!Jessica Drew with Loki and have him reincarnated into a female body and then most likely just interested in women (Because Girl-on-Girl is Hot). Maybe (but very unlikely) they could explore him being bisexual. In any event, I think this is plausible but noting for the record that I find the Ultimate!Jessica Drew a poor attempt at lesbian and transgender representation.

Spider Man: Homecoming.
Spider Man II: Far from Home.
Spider Man III: Homeless.
Spider Man IV: Homewrecker.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Another random Spidey moment I want to see in the next movie:
Spidey "summoning spiders" to deal with a jumpy thug with a hostage.
◊ It's the kind of super dorky but actually rather clever thing that would work perfectly with this version of Peter.
Peter gets grounded and he's Spider-Man: Homestuck.

Feige claims there are tow LGBT characters in the works, one new and one we've already seen before
