Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Pinar Toprak will be doing the score for Captain Marvel
. She's scored among other things Krypton and the video game Fortnite. This is the first instance of a superhero movie having a female composer.

I don't remember Fortnite's music (haven't played it since the very beginning), but Krypton's music was good.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. So Volume 3 will be the end of the current team's storyline...
Don't tell me that some will...they will, isn't it?
I totally believe that Vol. 3 is going to be the end, at least for this lineup.
Because it's Vol. 3. Thor, Iron Man, and Cap's franchises ended at 3. Avengers is going up to 4 only because the third film got split in half. That's a trend.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
You're correct about GOTGV 3 being the current Guardians' last film would follow the trilogy pattern. But how do you know Marvel wouldn't make an exception to that pattern with the Avengers films? Aren't the Avengers continuing after Avengers 4, just with different members? (Correct me if I'm wrong).
If the Avengers continue with a different lineup, then that would be no different from Guardians continuing with a different lineup as was suggested in the original statement.
Also, are you aware that your avatar is the mascot of antifeminist white supremacy?

Avatar: The creator of the Pepe the Frog character never intended for him to be used that way, it was just co-opted by white supremacists, anti-Semites, anti-feminists and Islamophobes, who he's successfully sued over it. ![]()
is correct.

That's kinda what the first movie was too wasn't it?
It's came right after Age of Ultron, and acted as something of a Breather Episode. This movie is just doing the same...with the added detail of the ending of Infinity War hovering over it's head.
One Strip! One Strip!

Also, in my opinion, being a "love interest" requires you to be the prospective focus of interest of another person's love. Characters already in romantic relationships are not love interests. Vision is Wanda's love interest in Civil War because they're just interested in each other, but not in Infinity War because they've been in a relationship for a while at that point. Pepper Potts is an on-and-off love interest for Tony Stark, depending on the status of their relationship and if she decides that she wants to deal with his shit in a romantic sense.
