Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

You mean...it wasn't already?
Anyway, let me once again than Ike Permulter and his irrational hatred of Fox for permanently ruining the Inhuman's franchise, and likely ensuring others will want to avoid them like the plague.
One Strip! One Strip!Yes. But that was fairly common at the time. The idea of a comic company making their own movies was completely unheard of, and unlike DC, Marvel wasn't backed by a huge company with its own movie division.

I think it's likely the Eternals movie will basically be what the cinematic Inhumans could've been
.

I am mostly surprised that they decided to make it official now instead of waiting three days....ABC has it's meeting next week, so why not announce pick-up and cancellations in one row?
On the upside, they are still advertising Ao S last episode (which will air next Friday) as "Season finale". If they don't announce the cancellation now, it might be a sign that they intend to keep it around after all.

Don't be mean
The show had the second greatest dog in it. People just wanted to see Lockjaw content
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI guess now Lockjaw is freed up for a Ms Marvel or Pet Avengers project

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think there is still a chance for them...not anytime soon, but the MCU continues to grow and one day they might try again and just pretend that the TV show didn't happen. I am sure most of the fans would go along with that.
Plus, if Marvel had to fail, I rather have them fail there instead of with something like Infinity war.
Didn't they announce they were killing off the Inhhumans in the comics or something?
This song needs more love.Death of the Inhumans or something yeah.
Sounds like they are backtracking hard. Not sure if it's that literal though.
One Strip! One Strip!I think a good way to reintroduce Inhumans would be to give it the Incredible Hulk treatment. Keep what worked (some of the actors, Lockjaw) and ditch what didn't (some of the actors, most of the crew working on it), then reintroduce them as side characters in something else, like a future Fantastic 4 movie, since that seems to be the go-to way of introducing the Inhumans in the comics.
I don't hold any love for Inhumans nor any sympathy for it getting cancelled, but laughing at hypothetical people who liked the show and going "neener neener, your fav show got cancelled!! XD" strikes me as rather puerile and mean-spirited.
...Not that I know any Inhumans fans who would be upset, but still, I'm sure there's SOME out there. In theory.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!See everyone! Anomalacaris gets it!
Lets be jerks! It's the way of the internet!

One Strip! One Strip!

I gotta say I'm just shocked by this information. Who could have possibly seen that coming?
This song needs more love.
