Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Watch SymphogearBlack Panther deleted scene that really fleshes out W’Kabi[1]
, it should’ve been in the movie.

Yikes. Considering W'Kabi being a bit underdeveloped was one of my biggest nitpicks about the film, I think that scene does help flesh him out lot, and knowing a scene like that did exist make me feel better about it because it's clear they thought about it even if it didn't make the final cut. Also I knew they were in a relationship but I didn't realize they were actually married.

As of yesterday, Infinity War is at $725,538,300, already making more money than Winter Soldier.
$282,438,300 domestic
$443,100,000 foreign
Fudge, that W'Kabi scene is actually really good. It's especially clear why he hates that Wakanda hides from the world - someone like Klaw, a petty bandit essentially, should be able to just steal from them and escape, it's not just that he can't get revenge for his parents, it's actively humiliating for a country which is the most powerful nation on earth.
Also, W'Kabi is a reflection I think of the pitfalls of pursuing national sovereignty over broader national interests (not going to put any examples but there are probably some obvious comparisons) and his dislike of refugees is accompanied here by his hostility to the UN (after all, his king died in the UN building during a squabble because the rest of the world can't sort their shit out, from W'Kabi's POV).

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I'm not sure that deleted scen showed us anything which wasn't already evident. However that was an amazing joint performance.
That Ant Man and the Wasp trailer is great. I was always more hyped for it than Infinity War.
How does an ant learn to play the drums?
Also, Scott pushing a truck like a go Kart is hilarious. And Hope shrinking so a goon punches his buddy in the face.
The appeal of the Ant-Man series is the "toy" feel of everything.
Continue writing our story of peace.
