Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'll try to watch it on Thursday...thankfully my favourite cinema is showing it, and considering that it is the biggest one in Europe (in terms of seating for one screen), I can basically pick which showing I will take...which I will do based on a combination of "yeah, now I have time for it" and "oh, in this showing there are better seats available". Honestly, it is kind of surprising how many seats are already sold (I have kept on eye on it). Normally there are barely a few reserved when you look it up on the day of when you want to go.
Kevin Feige confirmed Marvel is discussing an
Eternals movie as initially rumored.

I still know next to nothing about them. Someone sooth my fevered brow with sweet expositions
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
They're basically like Marvel's answer to DC's New Gods. That's actually exactly what they are, since the same dude created them (Jack Kirby).
They're a race of long-lived superhumans created by the Celestials back in ancient times, and they provided the basis for many of Earth's mythological deities.
You know...after seeing ragnarok, it does look each odin son have the typical sitcom personality: Thor is the friendly jock, Loki the misundersood Nerd and Hela the sarcastic goth.
.....Damn, now I can a sitcom of them, the odisons!, that would be hilarious.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I remember when the writer of Thor 1 joked that Odin is the dad from Sanford and Son.
It occurs to me that since the Eternals are so heavily tied to Greco-Roman mythology, their movie could finally introduce this guy...

I got a ticket for Thursday night. I had to switch it though... I have an exam from 5:30pm-7:30pm which I forgot about when I bought 7:30pm tickets. Oops. Had to switch to 9pm
