Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Yeah, this wasn't at all a power level discussion.
To be precise, multiple people wildly misinterpreted what was actually being talked about and are now not giving people the opportunity to make that point (also, looking back on it "multiple people" is actually just you, multiple times), which is rather unfair, but I'll defer to the masses on this one and drop it.

Power level discussions are tired and old.
The real new sensation sweeping the nation is 'who would win in a rap battle?'
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOne of the most fun things to think about for IW is seeing all these characters from different franchises meet and interact with eachother, reminding you that, yeah, these films and characters are all in the same universe. While on Earth you have the more serious, grounded tone and themes of Captain America: The Winter Soldier/Civil War and Black Panther, all the way out in space you have Guardians of the Galaxy 1+2 and Thor: Ragnarok with their, well, less serious and more fantastical tone and feel (though Got G 2 is noticeably more serious than the other two in that category). I really wanna see T'Challa, Shuri, Okoye and M'Baku meet the Guardians to drive in the feel of contrast and stuff.
On my wave, passing oooooooonOkay I gotta know, is there a comic book character who fights through sonic raps?

This song needs more love.

I wanna see a bird fight between the Vulture and the Falcon.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.
