Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

No offense but I don't trust a person with a Thomas the Tank Engine avatar not to stab me in the back.

I was gonna say Danny Rand, but he's pretty well covered.
....how about you just go after Wanda. She's got her crimes too.
...no. That's a quagmire. Ok, just take out whoever you want. No need to be picky.

One Strip! One Strip!@Ghilz: The dumb fuck keeps saying he's retired and then coming back to the job because he's just addicted to putting arrows in people. His family is forced to live in a barn in the middle of Nowhere Ave, Fucksville Wisconsin because of him. He spared a dangerous Soviet spy and let her infiltrate SHIELD, where she did work for HYDRA.
He also claims to have golfed a perfect 18, which means he was either playing minigolf, has superstrength he's been hiding all this time, or is just a lying asshole.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's sort of why I suggest movie Hawkeye, coz he's so well adjusted and pleasant compared the comic version.

I mean, the US Government (Amongst others) does that all the time IRL with drone strikes. That it's Bucky is hardly relevant. And heck, they were willing to try and capture him (Which they did) when they got the chance.

let talk in order
First of all....no, t`challa is not the one sane men here in fact he is the most compromised because he dosent have ANY stakes in the game and in fact he got into a brawl because a personal matter, im surprised the first thing Okoye did wasnt berate him for being so reckless.
Now about steve apologies....I think it sound insencire because it happen to soon after the fight and it kinda he is downplaying is fault into a "we all did mistakes" which is.....annoying.
And if you want to talk about chararter, does nobody notices how Wanda power make everything worst in TWO african countries? probably a coincidence, but I feel T`challa should watch his back the next time this girl does something.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"@Swanpride- Well, I agree to the extent that it's people basically thinking that simply because they like Team Stark. But as far as it goes, I think that not taking him alive was an understandable and even appropriate strategy since he was presumed armed and dangerous and thanks to Zemo, suspect of/implicated in other violent acts over the course of the movie.
And I felt that T'Challa hunting him was some in-universe Deliberate Values Dissonance in line with the character's ususal characterization as an Aloof Ally who has his own motives. Although even in this movie, he's kind of "cuddlier" than other takes on the character. Which is IMO not a bad thing.

Wanda's power does not make everything worse in two African countries
Just one.
Things actually would have been worse if she hadn't tried to redirect the Crossbones explosion in terms of more people being dead but she did create an international incident by saving lives.
Its just one of those things.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI mean, Bucky should have thrown down his weapons and handed himself in. It's understandable why he doesn't and why Steve tries to help him but Bucky's a superpowered ex-assassin and the government has to be very, very careful with him.

Crossbones blew up a bunch of Wakandans. Because Steve didn't keep his eye on the ball.
Wanda saved the lives of everyone in that area of the market.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWell, people have said black panther is marvel batman and just like batman, he does things for is own reason and is not need to care about you
she save people in the market....by releasing him into a bulding.
a tradeoff I guess.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"So? The US Government (and others) has no reason to believe he's not still controlled by Hydra, or still active as the Winter Soldier. That it's his free will or not hardly matters. The logical thing is to prepare for the worst case scenario.
And again, governments will go drone murder people all the time. Bucky's scenario is less bad in that they try to actually arrest him. They bothered sending people to apprehend him rather than missiling the city block.

What he said.

Just because the US is up to some shady shit it doesn't mean that we should be okay with it, neither in the real nor in the fictional world. I am not saying that a "shot on sight" order isn't realistic (well.....unless you involve the GSG-9, the very point of this unit is to solve difficult situations with the lowest kill count possible), I am saying that this shouldn't be seen as okay strategy, even if Bucky himself sees it that way. Hell, ESPECIALLY since Bucky considers it a good strategy, remember, he learned strategy from Hydra.
I am also not saying that if in the attempt to secure Bucky someone killed Bucky to protect someone would have been murder. I am saying that going into it with a card blanche is just wrong on so many levels.
You are look from public perpective, YOU KNOW bucky is alright, but let see from other point of view.
Bucky is winter soldier, he kill hundred of people for YEARS.
he suddenly disapear and repear again, killing a KING.
You know were he is....
Are you going softball with him?.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Not even that, you can't softball him really. He's a friggin cyborg superman. (but not, youknow, that one. You need to shoot to kill or you don't go in at all.
