Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Usually bringing balance to the universe isn't something that would make you roll on the floor laughing but this... this brings a roflmao to Thanos
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe way it's usually described it did max out his stats to peak human
Although what that even means seems dubious
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'd say Steve has the max strength of a person of his size, maybe a bit more.
He's basically an olympic weight lifter in the body of an olympic swimmer, or at least that's what I'd expect.
Or to put it another way, Here's Steve fighting against the Kingpin.
And here's the Red Skull doing the same.
So not quite as strong as a dude as big and powerful as Fisk is often portrayed, but maybe around there.
One Strip! One Strip! So what would you guys rather see in either Infinity War or Avengers 4? (Spoiler-tagged in case one or both of these end up happening.)
Tony using the Infinity Gauntlet or T'Challa using the Infinity Gauntlet?
EDIT: I goofed. Tony using the Gauntlet comes from Avengers vol. 4, issue #12. My mistake.

T'challa. I both like and trust him more than Tony. I'm pretty sure everybody does right now.
One Strip! One Strip!Adam Warlock using the infinity guantlet.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Take a Third Option Hulk. He's the only one it might fit.
Taking fourth (or is this fifth?) option:
Peter Parker. Because with great power, comes great responsibility.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheySo from what I noticed:
Thanos only has the Power and Space stones when he's fighting Cap in Wakanda. And since we've seen him wear those two when attacking New York, that means he fails to get the Time Stone from Strange. And more than likely that leaked scene of him torturing the Collector for the information on the Reality Stone happens before his invasion of Earth, since the Guardians are seen there in this trailer.
So right now the order of events is looking likely to be: Thanos attacks Xander > Thanos attacks Asgard's remnants > Thanos tortures the Collector > Thanos goes to New York, fails to get the Time Stone > Thanos targets Wakanda to go after Vision and MAYBE the Soul Stone > ??? > Infinity Gauntlet assembled.
In other Infinity War news:
- The newest poster for the biggest event of the year has probably the biggest obligatory list of cast members.
- Peter Dinklage's role has been confirmed.
Don't read it if you want to go in the movie blind.
Kind of like the opposite of the first Avengers, where everyone got the opportunity to talk to and/or beat up Loki.

The title of that article about Dinklage is somewhat misleading. They don't confirm what his role is, just that he has one but nobody has any idea what it is - basically officially affirming what we already know.

Maybe he'll semi-warp reality to a point where he can snap his fingers with a metal glove?
What

"He was blinded by rage & grief of which he himself grew out of at the end. "
Which it is transforme into idiocy, really "why did you run" is probably one of the dumbest thing I have hear, I give a past for his father but it was bad.
I want to see Thanos taking to Loki, after all only he fail, but he drop the damn scepter with another stone into is enemies, that should be a huge no no to thanos.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"

Steve did lots of push-ups, sit-ups, and drank plenty of juice after Civil War
