Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

And them he start pissing Cap to which boil to him punch him later.
In general, Tony does have a knack for making enemy, im not surprise Thanos come because Tony did something to him.....
in infinity war it would be reveal that tony promise thanos a thanoscopter but he lie about it

Even Tony agrees with that.
- Peter: I wanted to be like you.
- Tony: And I wanted you to be better.
And yet he didnt kill anyones mother *glares at bucky*
Also returing to ragnarok for a moment, I find very disapoint with the director for not incluing Jormundager at the party, I mean you throw a big wolf and yet it wasnt posible to throw a big ass serpent to the fight? really?
Shame....just shame.....

Leave Bucky alone. He doesn't deserve that shit. He is a war hero and Po W who was tortured for decades. It wasn't his fault.

Yeah, you can't dump this on Bucky since he was brainwashed. It isn't a Freudian excuse, it's "he had no control whatsoever of his actions". The reason Tony lashes out in that scene is because of a combination of massive stress throughout the movie, it being dumped on him all of a sudden, and the sense of betrayal that Steve had kept it from him.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Although there's understandably not much legal precedent for this kind of thing, Bucky legally has no culpability since he had no mens rea for any of his crimes. And doesn't really morally have culpability either, although obviously he personally feels guilty.

But he will get judgment, from tony and for all the people he kill over the years, there is not way for him to escape from that.
But I will argue that he does need to be take away and not return to fight again, aside for being so much to him, its probably for the best.

Yes and no, Tony will never forgive bucky or treat him as anything else but their parent killer, but is intent to kill him does are because of what you said.

That’s not how law (American law, at least) works.
If you’re asleep, and someone uses your arms to strangle someone to death, you’re not the murderer. The person squeezing your hands is.
“Shoot this guy or we murder your 5 year old”
The murderer is the one threatening you, not the person being threatened.

Actually now I'm curious. I don't believe that Bucky should be held responsible for their deaths but legally, is there anything to prove that he wasn't in control of his actions?
This song needs more love.

That's pretty clear in the first one too. And, again, is part of why Stane hates him so much.
Stane runs the company, Tony gets all the newspaper headlines and magazine covers and awards. Stane makes business decisions, manages press coverage, makes overseas contacts. Tony gives speeches, gets drunk, and bangs reporters. Stane is the business guy, Tony's the corporate face who's pretty and likable and sells well.
Stane works his knuckles to the bone to make the company successful, the award is promptly given to Tony, and then Tony doesn't even bother showing up because he's too busy being drunk and gambling.
Note that this doesn't excuse any of Stane's actions and in no way relates to his underhanded illegal arms deals. I'm just saying, that's why he hates Tony so much. So far as he's concerned, Tony's a parasite leeching all of his well-earned publicity.
Iron Man 2 just had Tony find a new Stane in the form of Pepper, who didn't take long to start hating him either.
She got over it, but still.
