Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I figure that's why they were there anyway.
Also, I don't think he was wearing it in Ragnarok, was he?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Whowho: Hulk was in the final Wakanda shot, though.
I think at least part of the Wakanda battle takes place after New York, personally.

Oh God! Natural light! In fairness, I think the Eye of Agamotto is meant to hide and channel the stone.
So far, it seems like its been the Infinity Stone that's most manageable.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThey cheat at least twice in the trailer....when Thanos adds a stone to his glove directly after his encounter with Vision (the stone has the wrong colour, it is not Visions...I bet Thanos gets this one at the very start of the movie, and I think we all recognize the one he already has at this point) and then again when they make it sound as if they need to evacuate New York, but I think the big battle actually happens in Wakanda (which would be better anyway, it would be hard to explain away the lack of Defenders otherwise).
I kind of have the theory that they added the whole scene with Doctor Strange to Thor Ragnarok partly so that Loki can recognize the Stone and reveal its location to Thanos.

So ist just wonder wether Loki is still loyal to Thanos and thus faked his Heel–Face Turn yet again or if it is simply out of fear....or if he tries to trick Thanos even?

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt's impressive...the trailer has already more than 467.000 views...and that is only the English version, the Spanish, the Italian and German one dropped simultaneously.
Also, the fandom works fast...a few hours and there are already countless reaction videos and compilations of reaction videos.

I think he is. A major theme of Ragnarok was that he wants to be viewed as a savior figure ( hence the huge statue of himself and staging a play about how his heroic sacrifice in The Dark World helped save the universe) so giving up the Tesseract in exchange for the Asgardians would be a continuation of that.

For argument's sake, it wouldn't be the first time Loki was written very differently in the Avengers series than he was in the Thor movies.

I'd guess it's Vision, Peter, Tony, Hulk Strange and Wong at the New York Battle.
T'challa, Steve, Bucky, Natasha, Sam, Wanda, Okoye and Rhodey(!?) at the Wakanda battle.
Clint and Scott are weirdly absent.
Looks like all the heavy hitters are in New York, Wanda's gonna have to carry the team in Wakanda.
