Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

YES!!!!!!
Wow, they are spoiling us, two whole minutes of material!
I literally went "whoooo" when they were all running in the direction of the screen.
Also laughed hard about the Got G.
And now I might even have time to watch a few reaction videos before baking.....

Love that reprise of the classic Avengers theme song.
Already telling us that Paul Bettany shows up, has his romance with Wanda, then dies at some point. Not surprising that T'Challa sponsors Cap's replacement shield. Loved that awesome looking run towards the end. Also bold spoiling a bunch of plot points from Thor Ragnarok not even a month after its release. Cast herd-wise I already see Thor and the Guardians (Cosmic pals). Cap/Falcon/Bucky/Natasha/T'Challa, and Science Bros/Magic Bros. I can dig it. Not sure if it's a good thing that the bit in NYC makes me think of MvC:I.
Major characters we know are in Infinity War who weren't in the trailer: Hawkeye, Ant-Man, War Machine, Nick Fury, and Captain Marvel (the last one is to be expected since this is going to be her first film appearance and they probably want to save some of their cards). I'm honestly surprised at just how many they managed to squeeze into one trailer.

I thought that was Hawkeye standing in front of the portholes to the orange planet. War Machine is with Falcon flying behind Captain America in Wakanda. IIRC Samuel L Jackson isn't in this one and neither is Captain Marvel. Also what do you mean you didn't see Ant-Man?

My theory: Thanos won't have the full Gauntlet in this film. He might get it at the end of this one and the full Gauntlet will appear in the sequel.
Also, the focus will probably be in the Battle for Wakanda.
I really hope sombody dies (and stays dead). Thanos is a villain that should always be taken seriously and he should live up to his Hero Killer reputation.

Who can/should die and stay dead, though... one of the main six is more dramatic, but then they lose them for part two.
I think if Cap or Tony dies it would be in part 2. I’m not okay with Natasha getting fridged, and Hawkeye can’t die without bringing up the family thing again. But no way they’d kill Thor or Hulk in part 1. So, who is from early MCU that could die?
Fury could die, but that’d be repetitive. Ditto Bucky or Rhodey. And they better not kill Falcon. I don’t see them killing Loki, since he and Thor are such a double act, so who can they perma-kill in part 1? Anyone?
My bet is on Peter dying in part 1 and being brought back in part 2. And Tony perma-dies in part 2.
