Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Didn't we agree that everything we might dislike about the MCU is Perlmutter's fault?
On a more optimistic note, the people behind Ao S are currently sharing information...only episode titles and the most generic synopsises ever, as usual (honestly, it is kind of fun to predict which sentences which will say nothing they will use to describe the next episode), but at least there is some marketing going on this time. Still not a lot, but at least some.
Credit where it’s due, Odin’s irresponsible handling of his artifacts of untold power was the inspiration for Red Skull in the first place, drew Thanos to Earth and was thus responsible for the Mind Stone being there as well as the Chitauri who traumatized Tony into making super-robots, thus indirectly being responsible for HYDRA, Thanos, Ultron and Vision, being directly responsible for Loki, and altogether being the person who set in motion the breaking of Rhodey’s back.
Evidently, the true message of the MCU is “always blame the gods.” Tony would be so proud.

If it can open portals to exceptionally angry dimensions, then it is no longer a fake, but a copy.
He’s playing The Obi-Wan, so my I’m guessing he’s... not going to be able to make it.
Then as a twist, Dr. Strange resurrects Mar-Vell while Ross ends up shadowing Tony, thus having a Sherlock and a Watson team up twice, but not the right ones.

@Swanpride- Two Irene Adlers, actually. Rachel Mc Adams, who was Irene Adler in the Downey!Holmes movie and Natalie Dormer who was a composite of Irene Adler and Moriarty in Elementary.
So, we need Lucy Liu, Laura Pulver, and Johnny Lee Miller to show up in the MCU, and then we will have all of the Holmes' Watsons, and Adlers.

A character described as The Obi-Wan and whose most famous story was his death? Yeah he has Mentor Occupational Hazard written all over him.
Well Lucy Liu did direct for Luke Cage season 2 so she's technically involved, I guess.

It's Steve's fault for not destroying Hydra...but it was Erskine's fault for making Steve a super soldier...but it was that ancient cult's fault for Hydra existing...
It's the Inhumans' fault, let's blame Black Bolt for this.
