Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

So a...Purple Rain is coming?
Infinity War is getting a prequel comic in January.
Poor Black Widow. All caught up in Cap's mess even when she didn't want to help them in the first place.
So Harold is.... Ike Perlmutter?
I liked that scene too. Due to how much of a rotten dirty bastard Harold was right from the start, it's not always clear how much if any of his behavior can be attributed to the instability brought on by his two resurrections. That's one of those moments that I feel is unambiguously the revivals at work; an opportunity for Harold to demonstrate his decaying ability to empathize with mortal men, divorced from any emotional context that might compel him to act this way.
He's just being a dick because he is no longer capable of relating to the concept of being sick and dying some day.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Wait, seriously!? If that is true that does make a certain amount of sense, but equally stupid. So she could have been first in line for the throne, but somehow screwed up badly enough to get banished to Helheim and Thor has that spot as per canon. Could her banishment been part of why things went the way they did back in the first movie? 'Cause that seems like that's grounds for a retcon.
EDIT: Just realised that there may have some mythical origins to that. Hmmmm....

[DATA LOST]
Guess they changed that. I won't lie, I'm kicking myself for reading that spoiler.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah that could do with with a "MAJOR SPOILER" warning or something.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/They... meh. That is a pretty major spoiler, but at the same time I don't... feel spoiled, I guess? Like it's not something that really crushes me going in. It feels more like a bit of exposition that came early.
Not suggesting anyone else read it unless they really want to, though.
My immediate reaction, at any rate, is noticing that this makes her situation less out there and unconventional, and arguably keeps Odin's relationship with the main characters feeling more like a Zeus analogue, which in both ways smells like the writers trying to staying in a more tried-and-true comfort zone.
