Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Rhodey grafts on Bucky's arm and becomes Winter War Machine.

I know you're making a joke based on Liquid Ocelot, but that actually sounds really badass.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.So, I'm looking at the complete three-part poster
◊ and there's one tiny little thing that seems interesting to me. Look at Tony's armor. Notice anything off? There are no breaks in the armor.
Stephen Strange: "A visionary robbed of his future..."
Groot: "A tree deprived of his words."
Spider-Man: "A youth who curses his responsibility..."
Thanos: "A titan without a past..."
Rhodes: "A technocrat who stands his ground..."
Black Widow: "A lover living a lie..."
Thor: "A god denied his homeland..."
X-Men: "Those who 'don't exist'..."
A Russo Brothers Production...
Captain America HAS Returned in...
Bucky: "The world calls for heroes...And we answer! No greater good...no just cause!"
Punished Cap: "A fallen legend..."
Heroes become vigilantes...
Avengers 3: The Infinite Pain
Bucky: "Tony sent us to hell, but we'll go even deeper! Take back everything that we've lost!"
Cap: "Bucky...I'm already a Nomad."
Black Panther spoilers from recent interview.
Shuri may have created T'Challa's new suit to better protect him after T'Chaka's death and it's implied by Letitia that Shuri also created Killmonger's Golden Panther suit.
Michael B Jordan mentions that Erik grew up in Oakland California after exile instead of Harlem like in the comics. During the early stages of filming it's revealed that flashbacks will take place of T'Challa attending a school in the bay area during the 90s. This could potentially make Erik a composite character of Killmonger and B'Tumba who attended school in the US with T'Challa and betrays him later in life.
Nakia is a War Dog which are Wakandan spies in the movie and is the English translation of the Hatut Zeraze from the comics.
The Border Tribe is Wakanda's "mask" they're the ones that make Wakanda look to be any other African country that the outside world believes Wakanda to be. They're also the country's first line of defense

Oakland instead of Harlem? A nice continuation of the MCU not having everything take place in New York.
Some talk about Executioner in Ragnarok
. He's introduced as the new Bifrost guardian because Heimdall has gone missing at the start of the movie, but when Hela attacks, he goes turncoat and agrees to serve her to save his own skin.
Also, a cool easter egg I didn't pick up on from the trailer
◊: The Grandmaster has statues of Beta Ray Bill, Man-Thing, Ares and more on his tower.

Please don't stop the Metal Gear jokes. Please.
- Tony to Steve: "Hey, Nomad. I wanna ask you... do you think love can bloom, even on a battlefield?"
- Steve looks at Tony passionately.
- Thanos to Steve: "NOMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!"
- Steve: "THANOOOOOOOOS!!"
- Steve: "War has changed."
- Steve: "Infinity... Gauntlet!?"
- Bucky and Steve fighting each other while Snake Eater blasts in the background.
- Natasha, when Steve dies inevitably: "Steve? STEVE!? STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE!"

She's almost certainly thought lost or dead somehow at the close of the movie. Wouldn't be surprised if part of the plot of the second Infinity War movie involves trying to find her to help combat Thanos.

Alright, Chris, can you do a British accent? Great, now how about a sort-of kind-of not-quite-British accent? How do you feel about shirtless, 12-minute soliloquies? What about 40-minute exposition dumps?
