Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

The Meachum family drama stuff was great, or at least pretty good because it followed Ward around and he got pretty interesting in the second half of the season. The actual corporate stuff, with the board and the preachy 'But corporations need to make a profit!' talking heads? Eh. I mean, yeah, that point honestly probably does need to be made, but the way it was brought up and delivered was way too on the nose.

If Steve isn't flashing some man cleavage, then what's the point of anything.
Forever liveblogging the Avengerscomicwriter: I thought you were talking about this Captain
◊ and got really excited for a moment.
Well, we've got Captain Marvel coming out and thus one would hope Monica Rambeau will be introduced, and I'd give a lot to actually see the ex-Captain America scrub out Captain ****'s mouth with soap. Boom Boom's probably stuck in copyright limbo (along with the now-eclipsed— even moreso—Sunspot). I don't really know enough about Elsa to know where the rights for her fall. But really, just as long as they've got Aaron Stack and Fin Fang Foom, they've got that first movie in the bag.

Technically the MCU already has a MODOK (though he's been merged into Red Guardian).

I actually liked the corporate stuff.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
