Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Part of the reason I want Moonstone is to really make this hypothetical Thunderbolts movie that much more of a possibility. Also because this might be relevant, please warn me if any upcoming Homecoming spoilers would have any bearing on this. Cheers.
Still pulling for a Kree invasion in Captain Marvel. They can use the Supreme Intelligence as the villain— played by Toby Jones, even. That'd be sweeeeet.
...Should I wonder why the Supreme Intelligence has the face and voice of Armin Zola?
...Okay, bear with me. What if, instead of getting blown up in Winter Soldier, Zola instead beamed his consciousness into SPACE, where he then somehow joined his mind with the Kree Supreme Intelligence, causing it to take on his appearance?
Well, I was assuming that, since she doesn't appear to be showing up with Ragnarok, and I don't believe there will be anymore Thor movies, there won't be anywhere for her to show up. Of course, if there was another Asgardian movie franchise (c'mon, Kid Loki), that could change.
And of course, how Ragnarok ends might affect whether Asgardian character will even show up in later films.

Oh God! Natural light!I want Zola to recur like you wouldn't believe.
Like maybe the Kree invasion fleet gobbles up the satellite he's backed himself up to, but in the process of digesting his datastream (please run this metaphor into the ground if possible), the Kree network is somehow infected by ZOLA.exe.

Being German, the David Hassellhoff thing was a little bit distracting for me....you Americans do realize that the Hoff isn't THAT popular in Germany either, right? The only reason he was a little bit more successful over here is because he just happened to sing the right kind of song at the right time. You would like "Looking for freedom" too if you were just in the process of getting rid of a giant wall.
Anyway, I think that Vol 1 was a little bit better paced and the humour felt more natural. Vol 2 was a little bit episodic. But I still haven't decided yet which one is better....to be honest, I have kind of given up trying to rank the MCU movies because between the best ones, it's way too difficult to decide. So I have started to rank franchises....currently my list (not counting franchises which have just started like Doctor Strange, Ant-man, Spider-man and Black Panther) is:
1. The Captain America Franchise (including Agents Carter)
2. The Got G Franchise
3. The Avenger Franchise
4. The Iron-man Franchise (sorry, but it really didn't manage to keep its quality throughout)
5. The Thor-Franchise (though it still has a good chance to move higher up in the list)
6. The Incredible Hulk-Franchise (which is fated to be the forgotten step-child of the MCU)

"I AM SCIENCE. I AM GENIIIIUS."
"All you Fascists bound to lose."![]()
I mean other than the fact they turned a Tibetan man into a Chinese one.
Because Tibet does not exist, hush now child. I said hush.
EMH was God's gift to mankind.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."That was unfortunate but they found a way to workaround the Ethnic Menial Labor aspect of the character, which was a welcome change.
Danai Gurira talks about her character
.

@comicwriter: I somewhat agree. Though it's a similar issue as the Mandarin as people basically picking an issue of the character straight from the 60's and saying HA THIS CAN NEVER WORK rather than observing how comics have long improved the character beyond these problematic roots.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."

I'd say nominally he counts, though I guess you could argue that Mordo probably counts a bit more.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
