Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Fine, but we never get anywhere when we discuss this sort of thing - it's always the same arguments again and again. If I'll be frank, Thenardier, you seem to make it more heated than usual.
Let's just drop it and move on.

Oh God! Natural light!Their original plans for Ms. Cardenas' death were even worse.
She really would have been Ms. Carnitas if they did that.

but is the wrong type of debate here, is one thing to said if Tony or Cap were right, another is the face movie kinda skip wanda action or hell the enterly hulkbuster fight.
I mean just look ross: the guy have a Hulk Boner and he dosent like Tony that much ether and yep he never said anything about south África and I wil said the reason is because it throw a wrench into the whole "both side have a point"
Also I will said the south África thing change context. Once could argüe Tony is affaid of wanda in some level and that is why he put her in house arrrest

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Both sides don't have a point, Cap is all but outright stated by the story to be in the right because the opposition are complete strawmen. After the events of the Avengers and Winter Soldier the only sane people in the MCU are hardcore libertarian conspiracy theorists.
"It is very easy to be kind; the difficulty lies in being just."How about a spinoff thread just for arguing about Civil War stuff so the rest of us can talk about new inane things.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIf we want to revive that thread to avoid clogging up this one with Civil War discourse, I'd be perfectly fine with that.
Oh God! Natural light!Yeah, like some kind of... Civil War thread just for Civil War things.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersEhhh dont want to be pendantic here but.....civil war IS part of the MCU whatever we liked or not
and being honest here...sometimes I feel the movie get worst the more conect is the to the MCU, on is own is a pretty solid story but as part of something bigger it come as....iffy for the lack of a better word.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Yeah, but we do have an open thread if people want to talk about it. Like, it's one thing if there's nothing else to talk about, but these line-by-line war-of-attrition-style conversations tend to sweep over anything else that comes up in the thread. And really, how productive can any conversation even be, after it's gotten to the point where the participants are responding to each other by dissecting and refuting everything the other person says one sentence at a time.

They probably shouldn't have made a whole movie with the premise of "how would superheroes/supervillains be legally treated in the real world?" if they didn't want people discussing it.
