Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Yes!!!! Ao S pulled a 0,8 and 2.43 total. If it continues to climb, there might be a chance that it will be renewed.....
Plus, they really deserve this, the last episodes were amazing! The show is firing on all cylinders!
@Tobias: Remember Frank Miller's wise words regarding Daredevil/Matt Murdock:
"Only a Catholic could be both a lawyer and a vigilante."
"All you Fascists bound to lose."
The first number is the "relevant target group", the second is overall viewers...it's not exactly great, Ao S used to be comfortable at 1.4 before it changed it's timeslot, but it was briefly at 0.6 (which would be a sure cancellation at ABC). 0.8 means "yeah, this might work out after all"....especially if you consider that the show does way better in this timeslot than the shows which occupied it before. ABC will cancel a number of shows this year because the ratings are down, especially their "new shows" didn't do well at all, except for designated survivor.
We should know within the next three to four weeks...hopefully....
Yeah, it was at least two months
I don't want Ao S to end just yet. They are currently doing an amazing storyline and it would be such a waste to not explore the fall-out. Plus, Ao S is important. Without it "everything is connected" is just an empty phrase, Ao S is the lynchpin of the MCU, weather the movies acknowledge the show or not.
Yeah people can enjoy it just fine, but calling it a linchpin for the MCU is overselling it.
"We might have already done that. I say watch the movie. Check it out. See what you think."

I definitely wouldn't call it the lynchpin of the MCU. But it's a great show and I want it to stick around for at least a few more years.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub."Guardians? Like Space Avengers?"
"Well we never had a civil war so its more like Avengers are the Fuckup Guardians of the Earth?"

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt doesn't sound like the movie is going to focus exclusively on that rivalry though.
Just that the Guardians are going to be 'who are these buttheads?'
After all, they've been guardianing the galaxy and then these one-planet focused guys come up and start hanging out?
What I do want is for the Guardians all to have assumptions and stereotypes about Earth based on Quill and the not factual things he's been telling them.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers- Stark: Cassette tapes? Seriously? The hell is this obsolete junk doing on a spacecraft?
- Quill: Hey man, not cool.
- Rocket: You know, I've been saying that since I got here.
- Quill: Dude!
- Stark: I'm about to bro-fist a raccoon in space. My life is awesome.

Ah.
Oh God! Natural light!
