Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I can travel through time, but only in one direction.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Oh, so that's why Mjolnir is out of picture. Guess it beats being declared unworthy by leaps and bounds.
Also: "YES! We know each other! He's a friend from work!" ![]()

Love that Loki now has his modern horns
◊. Tom must also be breathing a sigh of relief because he said the helmets he had to wear in the first Thor and Avengers were heavy and really uncomfortable.
I love it SO MUCH.
It's the movie of GLORIOUS HELMETS. Hela's giant friggin' helmet to Loki's horned helmet to Thor's goofy as fuck helmet. I love them all. And Hela looks LEGIT awesome and kind of terrifying? They hit gold when they cast Cate Blanchett.
But also "Yes! He's a friend! I know him from work!" God, Hemsworth can do a goofy grin so well.
I think this trailer shows just enough so that we know how Thor got into the situation, but not how he's getting out at all.
...Oh, fuck yes.
Does anybody know what the music played during the trailer is?
Oh God! Natural light!Thanks!
Also, something new here: apparently Loki is with the Grandmaster for at least part of the movie, which makes me wonder both what he's doing there and when that scene with him about to go into battle takes place (I'm guessing towards the end).
Oh God! Natural light!Loki looks cool, Hela looks cool, that glimpse of Heimdall looked cool, Valkyrie looks cool, all in all I'm really excited for this film. And Thor was so adorable at the end. Movie looks nice and colorful, still maybe a bit on the flat side regarding color values but it's got more eyepop than the last few Marvel films. I'm genuinely excited for this film now.
