Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Turns out Tony Stark actually had the copyright to the name.
So Tony stole the name from someone else, copyrighted it, and put those other dudes out of business then?
Looks like Tony Stark messes everything up again.
Personally, I'm glad.
When I saw the Ferry scene in the first trailer, it seemed like a fragrant example of "Sequel Escalation", because apparently the writer was saying, " if the spiderman of Raimi could stop a train, then the new Spiderman can with a Ferry."
But thanks to the context, I see that they did not decide to follow that route.

Welp, that confirms Vulture's not going to survive this movie. He saw Peter maskless.
Shit, yeah, that's awesome. Good catch.
And even if Adrian Toomes dies, the suit could live on. I'd actually like it we got some legacy characters running around with Whiplash's whips, or one of the other Yellowjackets. Maybe the Tinkerer could have them.
And I still really want to see those concept drawings of Zola come to life somewhere.
It looks like Captain Marvel may have gotten pushed back again[1]

I'm actually somewhat impressed that they apparently have a movie releasing this Summer that they don't even have a released title for.
As for Captain Marvel, did that push anything else back?
This song needs more love.![]()
Edit: NVM.
...Wait, isn't Captain Marvel in the same spot it's been in for awhile now?

Oh God! Natural light! It actually looks like it's still in March of 2019 — If you notice, Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place in Summer 2018, but then it goes Fall (of 2018) and Winter and then above that 2019 — but logically after Fall of 2018 would come Winter of 2018, so Captain Marvel should be situated in the beginning of 2019. It looks like someone just made an error with the graphic and moved "2019" above "Winter."
