Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Beyond the Lights director to direct the pilot of Cloak & Dagger.[1]
I wonder if the Black Panther movie will adapt any of Killmonger's Co-Dragons from Don McGregor's run, like King Cadaver, Venomm, Sombre, Lord Karnaj, Baron Macabre, or Salamander K'Ruel.

Make mine Marvel.Rocket Raccoon confirmed for Infinity War.
...Which is weird because didn't they already establish that he'd be a part of Avengers: Infinity War?

They already said the plan is to cut the cast into smaller groups and jump around between the different locations. There won't be many moments where the entire cast is onscreen together.
Inhumans will be shooting in Hawaii from March to June

Though having Thanos as Po V character for large parts of Infinity war (or its sequel) could be very funny and interesting.....
Andy Serkis confirmed to return as Klaw
in Black Panther. And the first synopsis.
Well finally some confirmation of Klaw showing up. Why do I get the feeling he'll be more of a Bigger Bad, though?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Has Crossbones ever done anything remarkable in the comics aside from killing Captain America? As disappointed as I was that we won't get to see more of Frank Grillo, removing the character was kind of a good thing because this way the informed audience could stop waiting for him doing what so many expected him to do.
I wonder if it turns out that Claw sold Zemo the explosive which killed T Chaka.

Same here. Klaw may have killed T'chala's daddy, but ask yourself; just how many times has Klaw actually showed up in a Black Panther comic? He wasn't around for the Don Mc Gregor run, and I'm pretty damn sure he didn't show up in most or if any of the Priest run, so just how much of an Arch-Nemesis is he aside from killing off Daddy? (Which he didn't even do here, so there's even less point in making him an Arch-Nemesis in the movie.)

Yeah. Pretty much the most notable thing he ever did was kill T'Challa's dad, and they gave that honor to someone else. He also has the major flaw of being weak to vibranium, which is why he's way more notable for fighting Daredevil and the Fantastic Four. Fighting a guy wearing a suit made out of the one thing that can kill you isn't exactly a great supervillain career move.
I could see him being presented as the initial threat but then Killmonger takes center stage.

Klaw hasn’t been a big deal to BP since Who is the Black Panther? and Shuri's mini series as Black Panther. The last time he showed up in a comic was Spidey when BP appeared.
I'm gonna guess and say M'Baku will have a minor role but not necessarily small to set him up a main villain in a sequel while Killmonger and Klaue act as the major big bads.
I'm a bit disappointed that it seems Hunter won't appear, hopefully he shows up in a sequel.

"Rolling Thunder Cannon Punch" is an awesome name.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
