Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

My favorite dramatic line is "When history did not cooperate, history was changed."
"All you Fascists bound to lose."My favorite line?
Well, "I don't see how that's a party" always gets me for how it's snarky yet you can hear genuine horror in her voice witnessing the monstrosity barreling down the street toward her.
"What does he want me to do, eat it?" regarding the Tesseract also cracks me up.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! This is one of my favorite bits of dialogue, because it goes from dramatic to hilarious to dramatic again to easily:
Ultron: Everyone creates the thing they dread. Men of peace create engines of war. Invaders create avengers. People create…smaller people? Uhh…children! [chuckles] Lost the word there. Children. Designed to supplant them. Help them…end.
Wanda: Is that why you've come? To end the Avengers?
Ultron: I've come to save the world! [beat] But also…yeah.

Most Shakespearian line: "I am Loki, from Asgard, and I am burdened with glorious purpose." (Honestly, whatever you think about The Avengers, it is easily the most quotable of the MCU movie, and that line is my favourite even over "we have a hulk" and "puny god").
Most dramatic line: "I am with you till the end of the line." (the whole dialogue between Steve and Bucky during that fight gets to me every time).
Funniest line: Eh, most or less everything from Got G, but especially "Nothing goes over my head. I'd catch it." and "You're making me beat up grass!"
Cutest line: "It's so ugly! I LOVE it!" (makes me smile every time).
Most badass line: You know, the one from Doctor Strange which is repeated so often in the end.....
Best speech: Peggy's posthumous wisdom from Civil War.
Best interaction: "Can you move your seat." "No!"
True...especially the Captain America Franchise has become very topical...and all his speeches very inspirational.....
Also kind of ironic given recent events that a German guy stands up against fascism, considering recent event....it's now eerily prophetic....

I'm ashamed I forgot that one. That old man is one of the heroes of fiction, along side the Yakuza who fought Wolverine on the train and the cop riding shotgun with disguised Gordon.
One Strip! One Strip!

"It's your conscience. We don't talk a lot these days..."
James Spader's good in anything, but I kinda wish they'd found a different character for him to play instead of Ultron. Still as the main villain— just not as Ultron.
