Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Except for the fact that in an interview, Scott Derrickson said that the woman hit by lightning "might" be Carol Danvers. It's probably not her, but there is at least that little bit of evidence.
I at first believed that the Soul Stone would be a Composite Character with the Norn stones, but they are very different as to make it work.
A possibility is that Loki use the Norn Stones to defeat his non-daughter.

So Marvel Studios is at least in the process of considering a Ghost Rider spinoff.
And the 2020 movies are spoilers for the results of Infinity War.
Though I figure Spider-Man's going to be one of them and he's been confirmed for three movies so it's a Foregone Conclusion that he'd survive.
A spinoff would be pretty sweet. And would give his character more longevity.
I mentioned over in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. thread that Robbie's fate would probably depend on whether he gets spun off. Like the Punisher, he's set in a very gray area where he's too dark to get along well with the heroes for long, but he opposes the villains. With rising tension over his violent impulses and unapologetic murder spree, one of two things was inevitably going to happen: either Robbie gets spun off and ends the season in some way distanced from S.H.I.E.L.D. so they can't pursue him, or he does not get spun off and the Ghost Rider is resolved by season's end.
In the show, he's fast becoming a problem in need of a solution. There's no way for him to jovially part ways with S.H.I.E.L.D. "S.H.I.E.L.D. v. Ghost Rider" is going to be a thing before season 4 ends. Whether Marvel wants to spin him off is inevitably going to be the deciding factor on how permanent the outcome to that conflict is.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.For a Ghost Rider series I would like a Two Lines, No Waiting style with Danny Ketch, Johnny Blaze, and Robbie .

Probably because one of them is going to be titled "New Avengers".
I vote for "Young Avengers", myself.

Oh God! Natural light!I love that Zola design where his holographic head is sticking up out of a headless robot body.
It's interesting that they're considering having him return, though. I did like his One-Scene Wonder in Winter Soldier but I wouldn't object at all if he's still around.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! My favorite was the design he retains the Winter Soldier screen in his chest, but has a Uncanny Valley mannequin head and lobster claws. It fits with his general aesthetic of "prototype, rough robot".
