Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Costume-Test Montage where he walks out wearing it and Sam gives him a thumbs down.

just to remind everyone how awesome The Winter Soldier is!
So apparently Cox said at Wizard World Chicago that Luke Cage is set around the same time as Daredevil season 2...to a degree that Rosaria Dawson has a cut in one scene in Daredevil because of something which happened in Luke Cage.
May I mention how excited I am about that notion? I can't wait to line-up the events of both shows....
I wonder if Luke is going to get an actual costume of some kind, or at least start wearing some kind of armor or something. They seem to be turning "Luke goes heroing in his normal clothes and ruins them" into a Running Gag.
He didn't really have a costume in the comics, either. At most, you could say that his costume was a yellow shirt, blue pants, metal tiara, and chain belt.
◊ Oh and metal bracelets. (We see him wearing the tiara and bracelets in the Luke Cage trailer after the experiment.) But these days, he never really wears a costume at all, just normal clothing.
So someone posted a writeup of the additional Dr. Strange footage they aired at SDCC/Manila.
Still not too impressed personally, but hopefully it comes across with a direct viewing.
