Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I think my favorite moment involving Sally Floyd came after Civil War when a hero, I think it was Moon Knight, saved her from some muggers without realizing who she was, then when he recognized her he told her to her face that if he'd known who she was he wouldn't have bothered saving her. Glorious take that moment for the smug little "reporter".

Sounds like one of those moments when the resident Hate Sink becomes a punching bag, those tend to be hit or miss for me. This one just sounds bad.
I like Star Lord's movie costume. It looks cool, which is exactly the point.
Loki in The Avengers is crazy. Bruce says it outright. Which gives Loki in the Avengers more or less free reign to do what he wants, weather it makes sense or not. Loki in the Thor movies still suffers under internalized racism, which is a fascinating motivation for a villain.
Thank god Movie-Cap never had to bother to learn about Myspace, it was already old news when he was sawed out. Though I doubt that he has a Twitter account, either. Can you imagine him having to deal with this kind of talk?
The Hulk has a Twitter account... where he speaks articulately about film criticism

Roland Emmerich Calls Marvel Movies "Silly": "I Don't Like People In Capes"
New synopsis for GOTG 2
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Film Crict Hulk takes a long time to say something very simple compared to other writing websites! By the time I read his fourth paragraph I'm like get to the point dude.
OMG GOG 2. waaaaaaaahloooool
Then Ronland shouldn't watch one punch man or anything from marvel and dc. Oh wait inivciables and another superhero franchise is being made, so other companies too. GODLIZZA LOSER who doesn't realize his latest film is just as absurd as anything other epic sififi bockbuster.

It's funny Emmerich would say that because I've been wanting to see Emmerich get involved in the MCU for a superhero disaster film. He's really good at destruction porn.
Like, if Marvel ever got the FF rights back, seeing Roland Emmerich take on Galactus could be interesting.
