Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

China. It's a solution for their overpopulation.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.FWL: meh....not much really, MCU focus on chararter over story means their villian are just punching bag and barely five a hard to the hero, the closet thing will be Loki,Wanda in Ao U and Killian in Iron man 3
DCCU only have Luthor and is plan is hidden for most part, the best I can come up is as you can expect, the joker in dark knight who turn everything upside down to the point Batman dosent really win againt them, just avoid to lose
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"@FictionWriterKing: If you're asking if there's someone that bad in the Marvel comics universe, then yes. Quite a few.
If you're asking if there's someone that bad in the MCU, then no - not yet. Maybe Ronan could count. It's safe to say Dr. Strange will get villains like that eventually, though. Dormammu is no joke.

Thanos certainly reaches about that level, definitely with a fully gemmed-out Infinity Gauntlet. But otherwise, no there's no-one who really gets close to that level - which is good.
So, pardon, I like power levels. Also I haven't seen a Marvel film since The Avengers because I kinda hated it.
But all the talk as of late has me curious abou tsomething . ilove me some Power Levels and I hope my fellow comic or comics-based film nerds can appreciate my desire to know this.
Who is the strongest being in the MCU?
Also, are the X-Men movies part of the MCU? Are they even part of the same continuity or is the Trilogy separate from Apocalypse/First Class?
Most powerful being in the Marvel Universe is probably Galactus. Dude eats planets for breakfast (though Marvel Studios may not have the rights to use him).
No, the MCU and the X-Men movies are not related. MCU's Quicksilver is wildly different from X-Men's Quicksilver.

Non Indicative UsernameWell Galactus isn't in the MCU so not really part of the question. As far as known levels of power it'd most likely be Thor or Hulk but speculatively Thanos is probably the most powerful.
The X-men films aren't part of the MCU becuase the X-men and almost everything connected to it is owned by Fox. Same with the Fantastic Four and their stuff, which includes Galactus. There are only a few things that are in shared custody status.
