Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

That reminds me.
What are some actors you wish played a character in MCU?
Well, as for me:
Man, it's a shame that Tom Cruise never got the Iron Man role. I mean, RDJ is perfect, but still...XP
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing. But if Tom Cruise was cast, he'd turn all of Marvel into Scientologists!
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?So I just realized Civil War continues the tradition of someone losing an arm. I haven't followed Agents of SHIELD or Agent Carter, but I'm pretty sure the tradition has gone undefeated- Netflix included -since the first Avengers, unless someone loses an arm in the first Captain America that I'm forgetting.
Quicksilver, but he's ded.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Agent Carter somehow didn't get the message and goes for legs instead of arms and hands. Agent of Shield solved the problem by loosing the same hand. Said hand is very handy, though. (they also have gotten into the habit of re-enacting scenes from the Captain America trilogy in the last episodes).
There is an Empire Strikes back reference in Civil war for a reason.
The current Ao S plotline seems like it could easily incorporate some Winter Soldier scenes, so that doesn't surprise me.

When we're done, there won't be anything left.Actors I want to see in the MCU: I know she already briefly appeared, but I'd really love to see Natalie Dormer with a bigger role. Also, since the Game Of Thrones actors slowly seem to migrate to superheroing, is there no youngling role which can be taken up by Maisie "Arya Stark" Williams?
Speaking of losing limbs: Civil War Spoiler: Does Bucky count as Played With? I mean, he keeps losing his left arm.
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but Captain Marvel has been confirmed for Infinity War
.

.....Okay, for some reason that immediately brought up in my mind this:
In my defense, that's actually a genuinely funny and awesome movie.
