Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

At least he's not attempting a Boston accent again.

And here's the article further confirming it.
Just realized the Homecoming title means... there'll be dancing in a Spider-Man movie again...
Also the Doctor Strange trailer looks awesome.

I am disappointed...I was so hoping for the posh accent. It is such a missed opportunity to make the MCU more international.
Concerning Spider-man, I honestly don't care, I worry about that when I have actually seen Civil war. But generally speaking I wouldn't mind it if they start with a "smaller" villain and focus the first movie on Spider-man while setting up some bigger villains for later. No need to rush it, that was always part of the problem with the previous movies. The Lizard and The Goblins are way more interesting if we know them before their downfall.
If they have more of those insane fractals from the end of Ant-Man, that'd be awesome.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI love the trailer, but it feels like trailers have the exact same music these days.
Also, alternate dimensions, it looks like. They must really doing Dormammu as an interdimensional overlord, rather than adapting him as more of a demon (I thought they might). Not only does this have huge implications for the MCU as a whole, I also hope that means other interdimensional characters show up as well (crosses fingers for Shuma).

They just finished shooting for this film so it's probably all they had to show for it at this time. A little disappointed they didn't have Cumberbatch keep his accent to give the MCU that International flavor the non-Xmen part of the comics lacked, but he's got a good American accent at any rate.
