Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Water is wet
, but the Russos confirm Thor is in Infinity War and heavily tease Star-Lord.
Not sure why that was ever in doubt.
The CGI still looks rough/janky/jerky/shotty and now I'm starting to worry this'll be a thing with Marvel movies from Ao U forward. Would be really interested to know what team or company did it for this movie. I'm starting to feel like they should start filming sooner/set their release dates later. They simply can't have enough time in post-production with things looking like this.

I'm as sensitive to bad CGI as anyone else, but in this case I'm not sure I really noticed.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Lord: Don't think we're trying to downplay your observations, of course. Just not immediately noticeable to us.
I did notice the scene was a little weirdly cut, like, Falcon is doing his spin kick but then it suddenly cuts to him talking. Then again, these clips tend to be edited a bit choppily when they need a promo for these major events.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think there are problems with how well they integrate the actors' actions into the background, but that seems like shoddy greenscreening to me rather than CGI quality. That was a thing that happened with The Winter Soldier too, for example Steve rolling onto the rooftop and the distant shot of Steve walking into the elevator in the Triskelion.

I still think they should've gone with Heroes For Hire or New Warriors instead of Defenders as the name. I'll complain about this until the show's out.
