Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I think Pepper and Tony as a pairing is above average but yeah, the track record for the MCU overall so far has been less than stellar. Which, to be honest, the track record for romance in superhero movies isn't exactly the greatest. A lot of the time it ends up feeling mechanical and like part of a formula rather than a strength of the film.

You mean the climax of IM 3 lol? I recall perusing your blog a while back and saying that the entire movie just collapses on itself by the end
I didn't really spend that much time on their romance is said article (for reference, this one: https://swanpride.wordpress.com/2015/03/14/marvellous-and-dcent-pepper-potts/
) and more on her as a character, but yeah, the most problematic scenes involving those two are related to Iron Man 3. I just don't get why the writers felt the need to create an artificial conflict between those two. I firmly believe that once the "well they won't they" period is over, the time for fake drama is too.
I like Bobbi and Hunter as well as Fitzsimmons, but it would be a lie to claim that I am particularly invested in their relationships. When they do it well, it's great, but romance is usually more or subplot on Ao S and not the main event.
Can they carry that other new show? I know Ao S's ratings have been slipping further down(as did Agent Carter S2 IIRC).
Cap's so selfless he realizes his movie must be shown first to those who need it most. You Americans already spend year-round with him parading on your streets fighting crime, the world only gets to see him through the movies.
It's the american way.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."probably pretty bad
i had enough money to see it but had to spend it so i'm kinda unable to
if it's on par with winter soldier it is already a much stronger film than Bv S

@Mad Skillz
I may be late on commenting on this, but am I the only one you imagines the Scarjo-bot being made by Ultron in - universe as the MCU version of Jocasta?
