Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I have no idea what you're talking about. The staff is clearly not biased at all!
And they bribed people with their delicious artery-stuffing baked goods!

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI don't think the trailer has only shown stuff from the first half. I figure stuff like Bucky losing an arm must happen fairly late in the game.
Though rather pleasantly, they didn't do any toys for Spider-Man, thus keeping his appearance from being Spoiled by the Merchandise.

If the Flash can be done mostly convincingly every episode, i'm not worried about Cloak and Dagger's effects. However i haven't a clue what freeform typically does and I don't have great familiarity with Cloak and Dagger besides what I've read on Wikipedia about them.
What's Freeform?

The Blog The ArtCloak and Dagger have been in a Will They or Won't They? thing for decades, Depending on the Writer. I think they finally hooked up for real a few years ago.

I don't see why it wouldn't. Though they could just have their powers come from dark matter like in the Ultimate universe.

It's basically Disney's cable channel. I have never watched any show on it (they don't have that many originals to begin with, because they mostly air repeats), because what they have doesn't really sound compelling. And considering how fast the cable networks have lost subscribers in the last years, I doubt that they will put the money necessary into the show.
Everything related to light is expensive to do in CGI, when it is supposed to look good an not like the standard energy light they used in sci-fi for ages and which never really looks that convincing. And then there is Cloak.

Oh I didn't know ABC Family got renamed. I am out of so many loops here at Job Corps.
Anyhow, I'm not worried about effects. I'm just tired of romance in media. But hey if the show can pull it off in a way I like then more power to them. I just didn't think Cloak and Dagger would be, well. I though they'd be more like a Netflix series sort of heroes.

Nah, that turned out to be an urban legend. Once they realized that the word "family" might limiting their audience they rebranded it.
I am not exactly opposed to a well-written romance, but let's face it, so far the MCU has been terrible in writing romance. The only romantic pairing they made me truly invested in is Peggy and Steve, the one pair which can never be together.

Clearly there's some bias in the staff
