Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

That could just mean Death's Head is getting a new comic series.

Yes, and it was a major flop, primarily due to the special effects budget and all the on-set injuries (although I've heard that the show itself isn't really that good anyway). Because of how much was spent on the special effects, covering damages to the actors, and replacing injured actors with new ones, it would have had to sell every single ticket at every single showing for years on end just to make a profit. Needless to say, it was doomed to fail, to the point that Deadpool even has two separate jokes about it in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (when starting a match with Spidey and Deadpool as the first two characters: "Gonna rough you up like a Broadway musical!", and when KO-ing Spidey as the last opponent: "Aw, that was too easy! Maybe it would have helped if you'd turned off the dark! HAHAHAHAHAHA!").
I saw Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark in person. Before I went, I read the synopsis with the Geek Chorus and Arachne, but when I saw it, they took out that stuff.
Not seeing the original version is one of my life's greatest disappointments, along with the cancellation of Young Justice and being the first finalist eliminated at my junior high's geography bee.

Make mine Marvel.I hope they don't put out Dormammu so early in Strange. Let his presence be felt similar to Thanos in GOTG, but save his actual in-person menace for the sequel.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The Russos won't rest until the entire cast of Community has appeared in a Captain America film.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.That's... very interesting.
If true, not only is it a bona-fide cross media crossover, but given the scope of Civil War one of Luke Cage's villains being involved in it - even in an extremely minor way - could say a lot about what the plot of his series might entail.
Alfre Woodard is playing old Luke Cage villain Black Mariah, here known by her normal name Mariah Dillard.
