Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

That was never confirmed. There was discussion in the Sony leaks about them wanting Captain America and Iron Man to possibly show up should the deal go through, and then there was a rumor that the new Spider-Man movie would have a major subplot about Iron Man fighting Peter and trying to see if he is good enough to join the Avengers.
The synopsis was more or less debunked.
Briefly. It's when the heroes get back to Earth from Secret Wars. The sites who keep reporting on that aspect neglect to mention that the Avengers appearances were cameos, or that the set-up required for the issue couldn't possibly exist in the MCU.
Yeah, some of the sites either never read the comic or are intentionally being being really misleading for hits.
One website noted that Hawkeye and the Wasp are in the story and said this might be an indication Jeremy Renner and Evangeline Lilly are joining the cast, without mentioning that they only appear briefly near the beginning when the heroes get back from Battleworld.
@comic: Fighting, in a way, is a dance. A deadly dance.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectRight... "accidentally".
Still, mad respect for the folks who do fight choreography that looks good without hurting people (too much).
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think it was confirmed by Word of God that the scientist he knew of who disappeared was Bruce, and that the other scientist he knew who "had dealings with SHIELD before" was Hank Pym.

Did he know him personally, or was he just familiar with his work?

Oh God! Natural light!I guess this may have been mentioned somewhere here
but damn that is a great make-up job.
It will supplement the other special effects quite nicely.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think I saw several extras with that makeup. Not sure what it means.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectSomeone joked that if they aren't human bodies possessed by demons they're probably Mindless Ones due to the eye focus.
Edit: Everyone has to see this reimagining of Strange's origin at least once.

Love the movement of the cape.
Back to the homecoming title...aren't Cap and/or Iron Man part of that story?
