Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Funny since for me is everything wrong with how Marvel aproach superhero, granted Im more of a DC so whatever.
Anyway, so what gem will go to each chararter? I mean I feel gem soul could go for strange with hir mystical power or Hela as the "goddess of death" thing going on.
Also, what power have the soulgem anyway?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"It's also pretty much alive(and evil). It hungers.
Edit: Had to post this gif featuring Colleen's actress to the left.

I like how both Strange and Mordo have this "This Is Gonna Suck" expression.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I wonder if Mordo is going to be Evil All Along, or if he'll be a legitimate Face–Heel Turn.

It's been said they're trying to build him up as a more sympathetic Anti-Villain rather than a Card-Carrying Villain like in the comics.
We Are With You Zack Snyder
I just saw Ant-Man it was an improvement over Age of Ultron because I didn't fall asleep watching it.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI also liked Ant-Man.
I'll probably like the sequel even more. waspwaspwaspwaspwasp
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Agreed. Payton Reed turned what could of easily been a disaster of a film, due to all the behind-the-scenes problems, into a legitimately solid movie. It's going to be cool to see what he can do with a Marvel movie he's involved in from day 1.
It's placement between the two halves of Infinity War is interesting. My feeling is that Captain Marvel will bridge the two parts of Infinity War on the cosmic level, while Ant-Man and The Wasp bridges the gap on Earth.
He didn't. Adam Mc Kay with some help from Rudd rewrote the parts they didn't think worked as part of the MCU AFAWK.
Gunn on the other hand reworked pretty much everything Nicole Perlman wrote for gotg.

I mean, I think some of the more amusing gags (e.g. "Tales to Astonish") and aspects of the movie's structure were probably Wright's. On the other hand, as the director and the one with actual control over the film it was Reed's responsibility to make the parts that he kept from Wright's version actually work, which they really did. So I expect good stuff from the sequel.
